We went to Ela's last night for dinner. We frequent restaurants like this weekly and we were looking forward to a great meal based on reviews. We got the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, and they were just okay. We love lobster bisque soup, we ordered two bowls of it, the soup had oil floating in it and there was no lobster in it, it tasted like it had been sitting for a while. I took one bite and told our waitress it was not good, and I did not want it, she didn't apologize or ask if I wanted something else, she just t... read more

We have dined at Elas several times over the past few years. Each time the food and service have been excellent. Unfortunately this time we were disappointed. Here are some of the issues: *We were seated on the second floor at a table that was very dark. Our waiter attempted to get the light above our table working and it “sparked” (shorted out) obviously this is an issue that needs to be addressed. *Two of us ordered the Restaurant Week special. Two ordered from the regular menu. One order was a steak (medium) and a wedge s... read more

The Restuarant Week meal my husband had was very disappointing. The portion size was very small. We laugh when dessert arrived as it was very small. Not sure I would go back.

There were four people in our party and only one was very happy with their meal. Lobster was served lukewarm and without drawn butter. When butter was requested, it came in a plastic cup and was quickly cold. Vegetables were undercooked. Grouper was overcooked and accompanying rice was barely warm. Extremely long wait (30-40 minutes) from ordering to being served food with no visit to refresh drinks until just before food arrived. Light above our table was flickering throughout most of the evening (quite maddening!) before f... read more

Went to Sunday brunch. I had the crab omelet and it had the smallest amount of crab. It was nonexistent. So basically a veggie omelet and the eggs part was also a little on the dry side. The mimosas are small and almost half OJ. Although it does have a great view overlooking the boats in the marina, it's not enough for a return visit. I would suggest going to one of the brunches listed in the 2024 top 10 instead.

We were seated next to a rowdy and loud table of six and could not hear each other due to loud noise level. We requested to be re-seated to another 'quieter' table which was done. We waited for the server but once she arrived, she took out order and the appetizers and drinks arrived on time. However, the main course took over one hour to arrive with the server telling use two times that it would arrive shortly. The final bill was also not split properly and required to be re-done. Overall, the fish was dry and the grab cakes... read more

We ordered and about 45 min later they told my husband they didn’t have any more salmon. Then they didn’t do anything to compensate for the hour we waited to eat. I am not used to that type of service.

Was here a year ago. Food has gone downhill. Oysters Rockefeller was okay as was lobster bisque. Nothing impressive but edible. Pan fried grouper was okay but sides were undercooked and or dried out. Crab stack was horrible. It had been prepared way in advance and the Avacado and mango were brown and mushy and the cucumber had turned into pickles. It was inedible but they took it off the bill. Cocktails and desserts were good. Will try a new place when I return next year.

Unfortunately this experience was not positive. Waiter was very rude to my guest & the owner was not appreciative of our feedback. Restaurant was very loud. Too many great options in the area, so we will not return.
