Our server was amazing but the food was just mediocre for the >$200 bill for the 4 of us, with no alcoholic drinks. My fish was very dry and side was cold ($48 featured item) my daughter's kids salmon tasted like a salt block ($18) and my sons filet was overcooked but he enjoyed it ($54) The 2 apps we got were very disappointing, as they were deep fried (which wasnt in the description)and more like bar food than a 4 star restaraunts quality. Will not be going back unfortunately.
The atmosphere is great, the food is unimaginable and bland, which is quite disappointing for the price. We had better and more creative food in BBQ places on the island. Service also not attentive as it should given the price. Do not recommend unless just looking for an expensive meal with a hood view.

Been to Ela’s a few times and usually good but last night was awful. Order the NY Strip and it came out cold and tasted terrible. Had them bring me the crab cakes and they were mediocre at best. Wanted to order espresso martinis for dessert and ask waiter if the bar was still open and he said yes. So we paid our bill and went to bar to order drinks and they said the bar was closed. Will be a long time before I go back.
We were charged more for my scallops dinner than featured on the menu which didn’t seem right. It should be listed at market price. We did not question the matter as I wasn’t sure until we walked out & saw the menu posted out front.
I have never in my life been treated the way I was at this restaurant. It was delicious food and a beautiful view. Our reservation was at 6:00 and at 8:05 we were finishing our dessert drinks and about to pay the check and the manager came up and told us we had to leave. He was VERY rude and wouldn’t look us in the eye. He said there was a group that had been waiting 20 minutes for our table. We had four adults and two children. To start the hush puppies were dry. Two of us had crab stacks and both were not happy. The crab was good but the mango was non existent and avocado browned. Neither of us saw any mango. The kids chicken fingers were overcooked. The last meal was crab cake dinner and the rice was undercooked. I could not recommend this restaurant at all and certainly would not return.
Underwhelming. Disappointing. First, where we were seated on the second floor, it was blah. Yes, the table had a white linen table cloth, but it all stopped there.
