We sat outside and fought flies the entire time. We got the oyster Rockefeller as the app and it was old and hard. We over heard Karen the waitress state the daily special to another table and failed to mention it to us. The entrees, salmon Rockefeller and ela’s crab crabs, were terrible. No seasoning, tasteless and not Fresh. There was another lady that would take plates and bring out food and literally slammed the plate down. This place is a bunch of hype. I must say the waitress was phenomenal! We had an issue with a pork chop that had been horribly overcooked. It was returned and remade along with my wife’s lobster ravioli. The ravioli was to be remade so we could enjoy dinner together. The pork chop which was served was phenomenal! My wife’s ravioli was brought back out with added cheese and salt, which simply was a disaster. Management offered nothing for our troubles. We have loved ELA’S in the past on our yearly HHI trips. We were so disappointed this year, our waiter never introduced herself, barely had any conversation at all even when we told her we were there celebrating a pregnancy. The food was so mediocre, the Cesar dressing was not homemade which is disappointing for a high end restaurant. Overall bad experience this time. Other waiters seemed to be great. The view was great.

Our family was not happy with the food, overpriced and very underwhelming! My husband and daughter both ordered the new your strips, both steaks were very tough and hard to chew. My shrimp and grits were just ok. Flies were everywhere.

Very disappointing! We were seated in bar area, waited 15 min before being acknowledged by bar tender. Food was ok, music was live and right beside our table. Parking was horrendous

Air conditioning did not work in the restaurant at all and were not notified. It’s 90 degrees outside and it was unbeatable. Staff was wonderful but that makes for an expensive meal not to be enjoyed!

We were really looking forward to this experience because it is a beautiful location , only to be very disappointed. The server did not tell us the specials, the only way we even knew there were specials is because the other servers offered to the tables around us. Our orders were taken all at once and then she basically disappeared. The salmon Rockefeller had a quarter size of spinach and no bacon, it seemed like the dishes were microwaved . We were very disappointed with our overall experience yesterday. Our server was quite good but with the exception of the gumbo, which was excellent, our dinner orders were just average. My shrimp were very overcooked in the seafood pasta dish and my wife’s grouper was only okay. But it was the little details that soured our experience the most. Fish and chips very poor proportion size for value. Table across from us loud and obnoxious and there were no other couple tables to move to. Service was under staffed. Won’t be back.
