Would have loved to give a better review as our food was great. Unfortunately, we were sat in a section that put us in the middle of the walk way. We received our drinks. Then, our bread was brought to the table at the same time as our dinner. Our server did not speak to us once after we placed our order and we had to get her attention to get our check. Overall, worst service on the island.
Food was very disappointing. Gumbo was not seafood gumbo as advertised- it was chicken and hot dog gumbo with 2 shrimp found in it. Lobster ravioli tasted the same as what we get from Costco. Do not recommend!
Good food, good service. Read the fine print on the bill… there’s a 2.5% charge to use a card. You won’t see the add-on until you get your credit card (or debit) statement & they make no mention of it in advance, or when the bill arrives. As a retailer, I would consider this to be dishonest practice to skim more profits from customers. I would not return or recommend the experience for others. Sent meal back because it was cold. No one from management came to the table to say anything.
The breakfast barely fair. The French toast was soggy. The crab omelet and potatoes were warm, not hot. Way too much cheddar cheese in the omelet. Perhaps another cheese would have been more complimentary. The bloody Mary was watery. The waitress not attentive and our water or coffee was not refilled. The check was brought by another waitress. We weren't asked if we'd like anything additional. The outdoor view of the wharf very nice.
Food took over an hour to arrive after ordering which was a bit surprising for the reviews previously read
The service wasn’t great. Service was slow, didn’t bring wine glass when I ordered wine, didn’t bring extra plate when requested…it felt like we had to keep asking for items. Food was big disappointment. Lobster Nachos had tiny pieces of lobster, don’t waste your money. New York Strip was poor quality, tendons so tough could barley cut through….shrimp accompaniment were fairly small, they were tasty. Overall, the environment was nice and relaxing but don’t go for the food!
Expensive ($100+/ pp)—which is fine if you’re getting a good meal (which we didn’t). Apps (tuna tartare and shrimp cocktail) were just OK, salad (pear salad, shared) was boring but main courses (diver scallops over risotto and lobster dish) were just terrible. Thank goodness the service and drinks were ok—otherwise we would’ve given 1 star. Disappointing to say the least—especially for a special occasion (wife’s birthday). Never going back.
