Four of us reserved a table on Monday, 10/2, since we had never eaten at ELA’S. Unfortunately our experience does not include a desire to return. My wife ordered the pear salad which was very good. Her entree was shrimp & grits. Calling the shrimp jumbo was false advertising and the grits were not hot. I ordered lobster bisque which was good. My entree was seared scallops on crab risotto. We had a steamed Lobster which was over cooked and the special, blackened Maui Maui which was also over cooked. We also ordered a dozen Blue point oysters, which were not prepared correctly. The oysters were still attached to the shell. I ordered a grey goose martini that was served in a stainless steel martini glass…no one wants a martini in a steel glass!! This experience was awful, I’d say red Lobster would have been better. The view is pretty amazing. I would not recommend eating here!
Lump crab cakes were not lump. Short ribs all fat… and yes I know they are a fatty meat…. But hardly any meat. Dinner 1/2 over before server ever came to check on us. Had to walk to bar and glasses of wine to have while eating our very mediocre meal.
Food was much different presentation than in May when we went, and flavor was terrible!
Based on service and quality of food It was just ok. Not really worth a return trip.

I am extremely disappointed as I was welcomed (not) by the hostess Earl. Earl was extremely rude. He did not honor my request to sit outside with the beautiful view of the Cove because I did not “RESERVE” the table when making my reservation over two months ago. My friends from college were in town and I wanted to make their experience the best. AND I chose Ela’s to make that happen. That’s why I’m so disappointed. We sat down at 7:00PM. Waitress came over at 7:15 to tell us she was very busy and asked for patients. She did not come back until 7:45. Ordered a shared Salad. Someone else brought it over and it was wrong salad. Could not make her understand as she did not understand English. Ordered pasta and shell fish. It came completely covered in parm slices. A no no in Italian food. Waitress was new and trying hard but was completely over extended.
