Setting was beautiful, waiter was good, but not great, and food was just ok at best. Grouper was good, crab cakes were good, both being a b- to a c+. Surf and turf was ok at best. The lobster was excellent. The steak was one of the worst I have ever tasted.
(Our waiter, Kenroy, was polite and not involved in our negative experience.) We had the 1st reservation of the night, 5pm. We were early. When we asked to move tables so my 88 yr old mother could see the view (celebrating her bday), we were rudely denied by the female manager with no reasonable explanation given. Inexperienced distracted careless waiter. Ho hum food. Not a fan
Food was just average. Service was just ok. Overpriced for the quality of the experience. Ambiance was nice. The view of Shelter Cove was spectacular!!
I made a reservation for a window view with lights over the water. Upon arrival to the restaurant, I was seated at a table with a side window and a large mirror, so I could view myself while eating dinner. I asked the server if I could change tables, but was denied. Food wasn’t so great. Risotto was over cooked. Portions were tiny. I had the scallops with risotto. They could have at least added a vegetable. I won’t go back. The ambiance wasn’t great either.
Birthday and anniversary
Way overpriced! The menu sounds very good with lots of our favorite options. We don’t mind paying the big bucks for good high quality food. Unfortunately pretty much everything we ate was at least twice the price of what it should be. We started off with the charcuterie board. Good quality products ruined by poor cooking. Overcooked rubbery shrimp and scallops. Scampi pasta drowned in a stick of butter and grits so salty they were inedible.
