My husband and I were so excited to try Ela’s. This was our last night in HH and we were looking forward to a relaxing meal. Upon entry we were seated right away and our server Kim was a delight. Birthday!! I called to tell staff we had a birthday prior to our reservation. There were three birthdays around us and were celebrated with a candle. My significant other did not receive one. The waiter knew it was his birthday. Six mussels in our appetizer were served unopened. The waiter wanted to take them and crack them open!! This is the 3rd time we have tried ELAS for a special occasion….. the food was awful and the waiter was snarky!!!! We give up. 😟
What started off to be a celebratory evening for my wife on her birthday with our children and granddaughter, quickly turned into a dinner we wish that we spent our money and time somewhere else. It started with a 30 minute wait to get water and a drink order which continued down a path of the waiter being clumsy, inconsistent, and not attentive to our table. The steak was not cooked according to our request. This is the second time this has happened. We will not return. Very disappointed
Parking is a terrible on Tuesdays because of fireworks in Shelter Cove. People come early and just park their cars. They have their own lot but do not monitor who parks there. Signs are up that say Parking for ELA’S only. Elderly people could not eat here. My husband parked a 1/2 mile away because the parking lot was full. Food was mediocre at best. Salmon and the grouper were disappointing. Sides not hot.
We flew in from Minnesota for 4 days, and we were very excited to have dinner here. We were not treated very nicely by the waitress. She could not pretend to smile. but when we saw her on the patio with others, she was all smiles. She was very rude. We had a bad experience from the start. Our table wasn’t ready, which would have been ok, but the hostess was incredibly rude, so that made it worse. Our server was very nice, but obviously extremely busy. The food was just ok, and definitely NOT worth the price. None of our entrees were the way the menu described.
