Service was extremely slow with an inattentive waiter who did not offer an explanation. Crab stack was flavorless. Diamond scored flounder was over cooked and slapped down over rice and green beans. Carpet worn, huge broken window and very sour older man seated us with a greeting or smile. I’ll pass on this restaurant next time. .
We all know Ela’s is hit or miss and today was a MISS. We had a wonderful table by the window with a beautiful view and a piano player which was very nice. I’m sure like every place out there right now they seemed to be running around understaffed. One person in our party got their meal ten minutes after everyone else which was a bummer. Was there for 2 hours for brunch. It took an hour for our food to arrive after ordering. My eggs were overcooked. Our waiter rarely came to check on us. I asked for a coffee refill and it was cold. Had to walk over to a mgr and ask for hot coffee. It took him 20 minutes to bring a hot cup of coffee. This place is way over rated!
Lobster was tough.

Have gone several times before. The quality here has definitely gone downhill, wait staff wearing nonprofessional clothing. The first person we saw working the front was in pajama shorts, that’s not the look you want to first see when entering here as it sets the tone. Food was terrible. Seating was supposed to be water view. They gave us table with side view of marsh. We will never go back again. We walked away hungry and disappointed.
Unfortunately, the restaurant did not live up to our expectations. The cocktail we ordered tasted as if it had cheap ingredients not fitting of a high end restaurant. The food itself was inconsistent and had several significant flaws. The bread basket had cold hush puppies. There were a number of shells in the crabcake. Two of the three crabcake platters we ordered had cold crabcakes and had to be sent back to be heated through. Even then, they were not more than luke warm. Worst service I have ever received. We made a reservation 2 months in advance. Took forever for us to get our food. They didn't even care to bring us a bread basket. They left a stack of menus on our table for half the meal until I finally had to ask for them to be removed. Brought us the wrong bottle of wine. Didn't bring our kids drinks.
