The food was simply not worth the price. The only thing that was good (food-wise) was the crab cake appetizer. The rest of the food quality was disappointing.
Made reservation a month out. No outside tables available but requested a good view inside. They called to confirm and she said would waitlist outside but guaranteed an excellent view. Arrived and seated quickly in a corner of the restaurant with no view from our table. Not only that but seated next to 3 people who were obviously drunk and loud. The food for all 6 of us was dry over cooked and tough. How is grouper and fish & chips tough and even difficult to cut through with a knife? Our server was nit welcoming or friendly until the end, of course. She never came back to ask us if we needed anything or refill our drinks and water. Beautiful view but Not a Pleasent experience.
The food was just ok, quite a bit overpriced for the taste/portion. I mean 4 scallop with risotto, $38... My wife had shrimp and grits, it was bland. wanted a nice steak for my anniversary but instead of medium-rare it was raw. of course, sending it back is always tricky but returning the steak to the table burned and well-done is not an option but that's what happened. waiter was scarce as it really wasn't his fault but no manager or management apology! have dined here before but probably a very long time if we ever return.
We’ve been coming to Ela’s for 5+ years. This was the worst experience we’ve ever had. The food was mediocre at best. The price of the filet mignon is now $54. Both orders can out cold and over cooked. Our reservation was at 8:30pm so not the height of the dinner crowd. Last summer our diner was so good. Very disappointed.
Our server was rude, slow, missed bringing out multiple items and had to ask multiple times. The food was mediocre at best. Expected more considering the price.
My birthday dinner
The reservation for our dinner was made 2 weeks in advance. We were seated with one other table downstairs, removed from the rest of the restaurant. Our waiter had other tables in the restaurant too.
