We called the restaurant when we realized we would be late for our reservation due to a bad wreck on the bridge entering Hilton Head. The host said it would be fine and our table would still be available since we were eating so early in the evening. We arrived and were seated outside. This normally wouldn’t be an issue but it was 40° outside which made it very uncomfortable for dinning. They have heaters over most of the tables but unfortunately, we were sat at a table with no heater. We requested to be moved to a vacant tab... read more
The light over our table was out so we ate half our meal in the dark before we asked to move. No attempt to fix even though the server mentioned it right when we sat down. Then after we moved, my daughter ordered the kids chicken fingers from the kids menu. When they arrived they were raw inside. They replaced with Mac-n-cheese, which also seemed off, but offered no concession other than an apology from the server. The manager didn’t acknowledge the mess up. Definitely wasn’t not worth the $200 we spent. Clearly, not a place... read more
The food was not good. The calamari app was like a burnt bread stick, my husband's strip steak was chewy and wasn't cooked the way he asked, my pasta with seafood was a bowl of pasta floating in flavored butter with a few shrimp, tiny mussels and a few flakes of fish in it The lovely ambience somewhat offset the mediocrity of the food, but not enough to ever go back.
Food was amazing. Service was so slow. It took almost 3 hours to complete the meal.
Service was horrific starting with being told they had moved our outside reservation inside but hadn’t told us. We insisted on outdoor seating so we’re sat in a back corner. Drinks weren’t brought until one of us got up and went to the bar. Only 3 entrees were brought out by the owner and we assumed they were getting the 4th but until we flagged someone down multiple excuses were made then the owner told the server in front of us she was fired when multiple mistakes that night were his mismanagement. It was embarrassing and ... read more
NY's Eve. Most disappointing. Booked way in advance. Awful table in back attic up 2 flights. Had soso appetizer and left.
Server was coughing and gaiter face covering kept dropping down. Seafood specials were very salty and inedible. Check include an additional entree never ordered. One would never know the same family owns The Pearl in Bluffton.
Incredibly overpriced and mediocre, bordering on not good, food. The only saving grace for this restaurant is the view of the marina. I never begrudge paying for quality, but the $200 bill for our dinner was infuriating.
Went for Thanksgiving, so while this isn’t their usual menu, every single thing was disappointing. The turkey resembled thick cut lunch meat turkey, sort of like ham. The stuffing was too salty to have more than one bite. I guess the mashed potatoes were okay. I got the crab stack appetizer (normal menu item) and the avocado was literally brown. You just can’t charge someone $16 for an app and serve brown avocado.
