Ordered the special: filet mignon topped with crab cake and 2 grilled shrimp. Crab cake was cold, and filet came medium rare instead of the requested medium!
Valentines Day, only down side was that we requested water front, we didn’t get it, a water front table for two remained empty our entire meal
I ordered a Pork Chop and when it arrived, it was loaded with fat and gristle. My husband order beef tips and the sauce was so strong, you could not taste the flavor of the meat. We had been told it wasn't near as good as it was a few years ago but wanted to give it a try as it was our anniversary. Very disappointing.
We unfortunately did not enjoy our dinner at Ela's. Our server Scott was rushed and rude from the start. I ordered salmon rockerfeller and what I recieved was a pile of mashed potatoes with salmon on top with a white sauce. Since our server never came to check on our meal I was able to get another servers attention. I originally thought they gave me the wrong dish. Very disappointed! Had an 11 am brunch reservation and when we showed up it seemed like the restaurant wasn’t ready for guests. Ordered Bagel and Lox plate and it arrived without the pickled onions or avocado. When we asked about it they were “out”. Returned it and ordered the crab cake Benedict. English muffin and crab cake were both burned. Will not go back or recommend.
The servers mixed up two of the entrees, both fish dishes that were somewhat similar in appearance, but easily distinguishable if you knew what to look for, which we didn't, one of which was a special, which should have been easy to recognize. The special that was delivered to the wrong person, who started eating it before realizing the mistake, turned out to be dry and unpleasant. Not worth the price point. Very mediocre!
The food (scallops and crab cakes) and service were absolutely terrible. I do not recommend this restaurant! I called in advance to let the restaurant know that it will be a special occasion with double birthdays and asked for a very nice table with a view. However, my request was not granted and I was given not a good table and was told that it was last one when in reality it was not true.
