Food was very good, but this establishment is not following Covid policies. The 50% capacity requirement was not being followed, spacing of 6ft was not being followed, and the hostess sat patrons who were not wearing a mask. We ended our dinner early. The manager was defensive and did not seem to be concerned of the risk to his patrons. He made several excuses for why their lack of compliance with CDC and local government regulations could be ignored. Recommend to avoid this establishment at this point in time.
Tables were so sticky from the cleaning solution the side plates were literally STUCK!! We had to put our cloth napkins down so we didn’t stick. We told the Manager..... he said he knew yet let people sit at them anyway.
Did not care for this restaurant. There appeared to be no regard for COVID protocol and social distancing. The food was just ok. Server seem hurried. It was packed and chaotic Will not return
We had issues with the service.
Celebrating anniversary. Tried to sit us in an exposed table on the patio during a rain storm. Made us feel unimportant because we were only a two top. Terrible management and front of house staff. Manager never had the professionalism to come by and apologize for the terrible service. Would never go back.
2 of the five meals were sub par, I had ordered seafood gumbo but what I received was beef stew. We brought this to the servers attention and she argued with us that there was seafood in it. There wasn’t nor was there sausage which is a primary ingredient in gumbo along with shrimp. My daughters filet was tough, potatoes runny and hush puppies like rocks.
Setting was lovely, and food good, but never experienced service with an extremely negative attitude before, and from the beginning without any conflicts. Needless to say, that has ruined the whole experience.
Our server got both our orders wrong. He didn’t listen and expressed shock when he was told that was not what we ordered. Very stressful for our brunch. Probably will not dine at ELA’S again.
We went to Ela's for our anniversary, we have been here several times as we are locals and have always has a great experience and tonight was no exception until..at the end of our visit, we had paid our bill and were just taking the last sip of our drinks when someone came over and said that the people who have this table reserved after us were here and asked us to leave. REALLY?! Sorry to say that may never go back to Ela's and will no longer recommend them to our friends and guests.
