We went with Solar Optimum after getting bids through energysage.com. The whole system has worked very well (7 months out), giving us up to 47kwh/day (peak so far). This is enough to charge our car, run our home and still get some bones back from SCE. Solar Optimum installed the solar system, as well as a new main panel and an EV outlet. I had a great experience with Solar Optimum for a solar install. I'm in the Bay area and I had about 25 quotes. All of the other Bay area companies were more expensive, some dramatically more. These guys had the best overall warranty and lowest price and a fantastic reputation here on yelp, google, solar reviews, better business bureau and other sites After contract signature, it took a week for the site inspection, another week for the design and two weeks to get an installation date. Rene Melena at Solar Optimum was really great. Very responsive, helpful and friendly. The install only took a few days, but there was months of lead up and prep, mostly waiting for permits. And then after the install it takes a month or so to get LADWP to sign off and allow the system to be turned on. The amount of power the system is generating exceeded my expectations. We are feeding way more power to the grid than we are using. Looking forward to seeing if we are making money. Thumbs up for Solar Optimum.

I didn't have many issues working with Solar Optimum, and the issues I did have weren't enough to totally soil my experience with them. The whole process took about 5-6 months from beginning to Power to Operate day which is usually pretty standard. Long overdue review. At first there was a lot of hiccups. My sales rep, Sean, was fired and there was no communication or notification that my project would be handled by someone else. Waited long enough for the roofing dept to give me a quote on the roofing project when I decided to retract and forego the project then Jeremy Nicholson, VP of Residential Sales stepped in and Things started moving. Solar Optimum offered the best pricing out of various different quotes I received and carried the specific solar brands/products I was looking for after hours of research. They have a different department that helps handle each step of the process, which kept things moving very efficiently. Notification emails are sent throughout the process so you know the exact status. Customer service was great. I recently completed my installation of my Solar system with Solar Optimum. They are a Solar co. and Roofing co. From start to finish, it took about 3 months with all of the city and PGE approvals. I am very satisfied with the whole system and the very good job they did on the whole process. Initially, they told me they use company employees or previous employees to install the system, but that is not true. There was some miscommunication at the beginning but they made sure everything is covered and provided full satisfaction. They seem really caring what customers are saying. I am excited to see the savings.
