This is absolutely the worst place for a hospital in the state of Texas. The doctors are cocky and says that legally they have the final say over the well-being of a patient over the family/legal guardian(s). The ICU is terribly lazy and do not take care of the patients in critical condition. After this hospital makes your family member worse than when they went in, they blame the family or treatment places for the hospital fault. The social workers are useless unless dealing with billing problems by nagging the family inst... read more

Although the actual emergancy was excellent, and the hospital. The billing department is a nightmare and I will never go back. They don't pay attention to federal poverty guidelines they just send you a notice that says your denied even though I clearly fall into the guidelines for some assistance on my 5,000 dollar bill for one night stay. That is even after insurance. There is no one you can call and talk to about why you were denied. I spoke with one lady who said they have their own formula for assistance, but when I que... read more

Tried to call, receptionist was short and rude, then hung up on me. Really? Going to be looking for a smaller practice that doesn't have a 300 person long waiting list.

What they charge for middle class is insane. My wife was there over 6 months ago and they are still finding new ways to charge us for something and we have very good insurance. And they will not negoiate with you at all. My wifes total bill was $155,000.00. Our total was close to $9,000. After our insurance company paid them $146,000 they would not go down on the $9000 they said we owed them. We also had a lot of problems with the nursing staffs in all departments. The ones we dealt with were very lazy and no heart ... read more

So, I have heard that this is supposed to be the best Austin has to offer. If it is, I can't imagine what the others are like! The saddest of all is that your doctor who is attached to the Center can't work with you in the Hospital. So you have to educate the Doctor caring for you... and trust me, these hospital doctors don't want to be educated about you. They think they know better than your primary care physician and won't even discuss you or your medical history with him/her. Yet the hospital doctors can't be bother... read more

* If you have a clear plan to only breastfeed your new born and if you expect to have all of the hospital's staff respect, support and assist you with those wishes, this hospital is not for you. * If you expect the nurses to be taking vital signs with devices that do one task exceptionally well vs. three-five task abysmally poor - causing labs to be rerun multiple times on an infant, this hospital is not for you. * If you expect the hospital's labor and delivery services to be in clear sync with Postpartum, Nursery, NICU,... read more

DO NOT GO HERE! This place charged me thousands for a visit to the ER that accomplished nothing, during which I received no treatment! This place will take your money and make whatever you're dealing with worse! again, DO NOT GO HERE!
It's been some time now but definitely the time to write this out. At 13 weeks, 5 days pregnant I was at work when I began profusely, and I mean PROFUSELY bleeding. Anyone pregnant knows this isn't a good sign. I left work in tears and drove myself to the hospital 5 minutes away because I felt as though there was no need for an ambulance. I walked into the emergency department with blood dripping down my legs, trailing me and waited in line to check in because they couldn't "expedite" me through the line. Up until this poi... read more

They should allow you to pay on the way out... I'm getting all sorts of mail from other sources with large bills ("/basePoint-HM out of Tennessee??) I'm not paying that shit, its probably a rip off. I don't know why they don't present you with a bill when you leave? It's BS. They aren't transparent at all, you get billed by all sorts of different entities... what gives?
