I went to this hospital's ER with acute liver and kidney failure. After stabilizing me, they told me that I had 3 months to live and told my wife to start looking into hospice to ease my passing. Well, it is a year and a half later and thanks to the amazing people at a completely different hospital in Houston, I am alive and quite well. After going through this, I have talked to several people who had similar experiences, but they took St David's' advice. Now their loved ones are gone. How many people have died because these... read more

My wife is currently in the hospital right now. Apparently policy is only one visitor at a time but over the past 3 days they have been letting 3 in for her due to her condition. Finally on day 3 it's only 1 person at a time This hospital does not have their stuff together on the 4th floor. Charge nurse. Joanne stated that he condition wasn't important enough to them for her to have 3 visitors( her husband, mom, and mother in law). The nursing staff was good. But charge nurse and higher terrible. Apparently having blood clo... read more

Extremely POOR customer service!!!! I had an appointment for my yearly mammogram. Arriving for appointment I was informed that they had a new policy that it needed to be 4 weeks after your second Covid shot for you to have a mammogram. They knew for over a week yet no one called me to reschedule. I took off work for the appointment. Oops sorry was the best I got!!!!!! My wife had scheduled surgery here and whilst the nurses were very friendly and tried to care they were hampered by lack of doctors who could prescribe things. It started by misplacing her surgeons instructions which lead to a 2 hour delay and being given incorrect medications. No doctors available to then issue new prescriptions until 8 hours later. All the time my wife in great pain. Overall total abandonment by this hospital. Will never ever return or recommend this place.

Normally I could have a male nurse with me when I take my shower however Preston said that he don't watch patients take showers and that I have to use a female to watch me shower. I haven't been impressed with Prestons work always saying he don't have for patients requests. I have the room next to the nurses station and I can hear them just talk away about BS.

The only reason why this is a two star and not a zero star review, is because every other nurse in Post L&D was great and helpful. Abby, the day time nurse, was awful, and she risked our sons life. I'm writing this in hopes that another family doesn't have to go through what we did. Our son was born alert, bright eyed, and active. He immediately took to breast feeding and everyone he saw commented on how active and awake he was. He was due to have glucose tests after birth since I failed my glucose test at 28 weeks. He had... read more

Be very careful with your payment/s and make sure you receive receipts at every opportunity. I paid a required amount by credit card and details to prove to St David's Medical Center but have been hounded for that same payment amount again from St David's North Austin Medical Center.

Business response:

I was shocked at the price for going to the emergency room here. I was with the Dr. for about 2 minutes. The hospital charged me and my insurance company about $10.00 a second for the 2 minutes I saw the Dr.
