I was so disappointed with this place. My regular vet had no availability, and my 16 year old cat hadn't eaten in several days and appeared to be suffering. I know my cat well, and felt that it would be kinder to let her go, than to let her continue to suffer. It was a heartbreaking decision. i wanted to have someone come to my home and have her euthanized where she felt safe. She was terrified of going to the vet. however the $500+ cost was not within my reach. i managed to get an appointment here and was told there would... read more

Business response:

Shebabz, please accept our condolences on the loss of your beloved pet. During the initial visit, our staff asked if you were leaning toward euthanasia or if you wanted to see if anything could be done to improve her quality of life, and you indicated interest in improving her quality of life. As we discussed during our conversations, the additional diagnostics and treatments we recommended were optional, explained to you, and approved by you before they were performed. We understand how heartbreaking it is to do so much, sp... read more

Very expensive! Won't fax in meds for my dog, I have to go pick up prescription then get it filled at Costco or 1800PETMEDS. They want you to use their pharmacy which is much more expensive. Also, wants me to bring my dog in every 6 months for them to tell me basically what they told me 6 months prior so that they get ANOTHER office visit charge or they will NOT write the prescription!!!! SCAM! Beware when bringing your pet in, and be prepared to bring your wallet and many more office "check up's"! I don't even see my... read more

Business response:

Rosalie, we understand that veterinary care can be costly, which is why we always try to accommodate our clients to the best of our ability. We respect your right to purchase medications wherever you prefer, which is why we provide written prescriptions to our clients. Pets with chronic medical conditions are required to have an examination every 6 months so we can ensure their condition is stable and does not require additional intervention or changes in medication. In your pet’s case, we approved a one-month supply of medi... read more

Well after three poor experiences here we've finally decided to take our dog to a different vet that cares. I feel like I'm dealing with salesmen that just want to tack on every medicine, supplement and prescription food, flee and tick treatment, etc as possible. They've run late with me on several occasions and then this last appointment they tell me the doctor is running 10 minutes behind which I tell them I'm running 15 minutes behind so that's ok and then they say since I'm over ten minutes late they are cancelling my ap... read more

Business response:

Hannah, we are sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations. We believe in partnering with pet owners to provide the highest standard of care possible, so we do discuss medication, supplements, prescription diets, flea and tick preventions, and any other products and services we can offer you to ensure your pet has the longest and happiest life possible. This place is not what it used to be. I've been taking my dogs there for almost 10 years but lately their customer service has gone downhill. Their curb service is a joke. You take the time to make an appointment then when you get there, you have to call in for them to come and get the dog. The phone is always busy, taking forever to get thru, and when you finally do, they place you on a long hold. Last time, after I finally got thru, they placed me on hold for 15 min then hung up on me. By then I've been waiting for 30min s... read more

At first I was very pleased. But quite a bit of money later, there was a change in the doctor handling my princess's long term treatment and it went downhill. All I'm saying, is for the price, I expected consistency in treatment and care. Honestly, with the change of doctor and the quality of care turning downhill, I didn't have a lot of patience when they seemed to blow off my dog's bad reaction to an ear infection treatment. I ended up paying double for them to rinse out the medication the next day. Again, frustrating.... read more

Business response:

Sarah, we are sorry to hear you had a mixed experience with us and understand the frustration associated with transfer of care between providers, which can be especially difficult with complicated cases like your pet's. Your experience with our techs is the experience we want all our patients to have. We love what we do and want to make the experience of vet care as stress-free as possible for all our patients. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we hope you and your pet are doing well.

This is the only vet I have used in the 17 years that I have lived here. They used to be great. I felt my animals were well taken care of and the staff was helpful. Lately all has changed. I took my dog in fir his dental cleaning. I had the paws plan so dental cleaning is covered. Somehow I still ended up close to $800 out of pocket... abs they did nothing! They called to say he needed like 18 teeth pulled. Because of cost, I told them to pull the worst teeth for now. In the end they pulled zero saying I didn't authorize eno... read more

Business response:

Hi Kristin, thank you for taking the time to reach out. You bring up a lot of concerns here, so I will attempt to address them all. Our PAW Plans are designed to cover routine care, which unfortunately did not include the pre-surgical cardiac screening or dental extractions your pet needed. This also does not include any additional treatments your pet may need as a result of the dental examination and x-ray findings. Beyond the routine dental procedure time, all additional treatments performed are assessed additional anesthe... read more

Worst customer service ever. If I could give zero stars I would. Front desk employees seem so miserable to be working there. Waited over an hour to get seen because "Dr had to go home and feed her baby". If someone would have told me before going to the appointment I would have gladly rescheduled with out an issue. Also, the vet that saw my dog seemed so unexperienced, the tech assistant was finishing her sentences while she was giving the exam. AVOID this place they have no idea what they're doing .Will be taking my dog els... read more

This place is absolutely terrible. My dogs Tooth is crooked because he was playing with a stick and broke it. We took him there because VCA was too busy. We dropped him off and they determined he needed to extract the tooth - which we figured. So we scheduled the surgery and my mom went out of her way to drop him off at 7 am. I get a call at work hours later. They called to let me know that they aren't able to do the surgery because my dog is lunging at them and trying to bite them? My dog is not like that. I asked if they c... read more

Business response:

We are truly sorry we did not meet your expectations. Unfortunately, even pets who are well tempered and wonderful at home can behave very differently or have adverse reactions to the experience of coming into a veterinary hospital. The sounds, sights, and smells of the other animals, staff who are not their family, and our medical equipment can occasionally cause a very negative response in otherwise happy pets. Once they are worked up to that extent, it is exceedingly difficult to bring them back down safely. We did not pu... read more
