Had a pretty bad experience trying to purchase a 2018 Camry through Dave Edwards. We told their representative up front that we'd like to make this a cash purchase. It took about a month to get the car we wanted at a good price; but when we went to close the transaction (with a cashier's check for the full amount) they told us we were required to finance it through SETF. Guy there tried to intimidate me into a deal.
I purchased a certified preowned on Feb 17th 2018. The salesman was quick to push through numbers. I traded my car which was very nice and didn't really receive a fair trade. The next week, I was being told the financing fell through, but they had already sold my trade two days after I bought the car. I bought my car in 2015 that had an unaddressed recall from 2014. As advertised they are a "certified pre-owned " dealership. I bought a 30k car with a power steering recall that I know was known to them when the cars vin number was read. As I headed to work Friday my wheels completely locked up on me! I've had a good experience in the past but I just drove an hour and a half for an appointment I made only for them to be closed. Would've been nice for someone to let me know. Waste of my fuel! And no respect from the service man who I talked to. Flat out ignores you!
Went to Toyota of Spartanburg and purchased a used 4runner on 8/21/17. That day when we drove the car we had salesperson, Scott Burgess, helping us. Showed us the 2013 and the 2011 Toyota 4runners. Let us drive both. With the 2013, he took us to the QT up the street to get gas because it was on empty. Get back and we decide we want the 2013. This has to be the dumbest service department in all of Toyota. We dropped of our truck for a recall over 9 weeks ago. We were told we were #66 in line. Last week we called about the truck and was xfered to the service writer. Left 4 messages and was never called back. Came by dealership today, and we are told the truck has been ready for 2 months. One month ago they didn’t even have the parts. So how has it been ready for 2 months? Left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. ��
I searched to purchase a van for my wife and contacted with several dealers in the Upstate to get a better price and deal especially with 0% interest because of my personal principle of not to involve in interest at all.
