Fantastic service. Was able to get a short notice emergency service appointment for a gas furnace that had been disabled by another company (Heat Relief.) The technician from Specialty was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, and thorough. In the spring we finally got our system fixed, it turns out there was a bolt that had been put in wrong causing a small leak at the site that had to be welded. It did cost us another $400 (so $1200 since the problem started) but at least it works! I wanted to wait to post an update until I tested it out once it was cold.

I've been doing biz with Specialty for prob 15 years (or longer), in Sherwood, and now in Forest Grove. First person out to our house was owner Cory, but that was before he was the owner. In any event we've been on their maintenance plan for numerous years. Always great. So why the review. Just had a periodic PM visit, and had a slight problem afterward (a damper setting). A+++ experience! We needed to replace our furnace and AC unit at our rental house. From start to finish, these guys did an awesome job. Nick, our sales guy, was prompt, courteous, listened carefully to our needs and concerns and came back with a competitive, detailed bid for our job. Nic was my estimator sale representative and he did a great job. He was thorough and detailed in his presentation and gave me a couple options and recommendations and I appreciated that he sorted all the options out for me. He also was sure to present all the rebates offered especially the the $1,000 deduction for low income earners (this was for my retired mother in law) provided by the energy trust of Oregon. Richard from Specialty Heating & Cooling was great to work with. Our heater stopped working and he explained everything he found and provided us with best and worst case scenarios and a plan for each scenario. I found this approach incredibly helpful since it allows my family and I opportunities to plan for each scenario. He was professional, affable, and a joy to work with. This company and the technician, Jeff, did such a great job troubleshooting our HVAC system. The problem started with a strange sound and resulted in a fan and motor that had seized up. Jeff went above and beyond to not only determine how any why it happened but to resolve it creatively and affordably. He explained it and showed me the parts that were affected and why they were not functioning correctly.
