Air conditioning is more than a luxury for us. It's a necessity. My daughter is medically fragile and has complex needs as a result of Cerebral Palsy. Among the many problems she faces, her body does not regulate her temperature well and overheats easily. This creates a dangerous situation for her. Our a/c went out on a very hot day. My furnace is one year old this month. I decided a check up could be worthwhile. I contacted Specialty and was scheduled for a service call less than a week later. Technician Robert B. arrived right on time. In a helpful and professional manner he proceeded to complete a thorough check up and maintenance. I appreciated his good listening and responding to all of my questions and concerns. I learned a lot more about the furnace which is continuing to perform very well.

Very knowledgable and respectful crew of workers. I had a lot of questions and they were very patient with me. We had a unit near to the front door and I was concerned how it may look. The installer took the time to ask me if I approved of how it looked before finishing and it was very tidy and barely noticeable. They also took the time to make sure we liked exactly where the units were placed and marked the wall at each one with our approval. This is the second A/C installation by this company. My recent purchase was for our condo in Beaverton. Bob handled all the required paperwork for HOA application approval. Installation was on time and very professional. City completed final inspection today with no issues. Specialty Heating pricing is fair and competitive. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you are looking for HVAC definitely give this company a shot at your business!

Purchased a furnace and air conditioner from this company and had them do the install. The sales presentation was extremely professional with no hard sell and detailed explanation of what was needed and why. Compared to the other presentations, the price and guarantees as well as reviews from purchasers, I am very happy with this purchase. The install crew was a joy to watch. Okay, I rarely write reviews for anyone especially twice, but this merits one. On new year's eve, my water heater finally quit on me. Called Nick and within a couple of hours he came over, gave me a quote on some choices and also let service know of possible installation later that day. Eric created a brilliant solution for installing a ductless system in my 100+ year old house; the AC parts are not visible, so the house retains its character, and with minimal installation, we stay cool and comfortable on hot days. Perfect!

Recently bought a house in SW Portland, which needed new mechanicals. Out of 4 bids, Specialty Heating was the BEST. Incredibly through and accommodating, they designed and installed a new furnace and A/C system, plus a new H20 heater as well. All equipment is highly efficient and the system works flawlessly.
