This company is a joke. My panels are not producing but spruce says they are. They never answer phone or emails. They don't send out techs to fix the panels yet they keep billing. We need to start a lawsuit

absolutely the friggin worst company to do business with…i cannot express the degree of frustration i have experienced with this bullshit company….if i was not in a lease agreement that is attached to my title i would run as far and as fast as i could to get away from these crooks. Do Not Use This Company

Spruce Power might be an illegitimate company. My experience with Spruce Power began when I purchased a house with leased solar panels that were inoperable at the time. The holder of the lease being Spruce Power were unable to create an account in my name ,being the new owner of the house. I requested info pertinent to cost and liability numerous times as did my lawyer because my lending institution needed that info. None was forthcoming. Late charges on bills that are received 3 days before they are due. Their late fees are now $25!! Their solution: online billing and payment! Giving customers no choice to submit payment via USPS and it received on time. Their bills state the following: "If you are mailing a check for your payment, please send 2 weeks in advance to ensure we receive the payment and allow time to have it credited to your solar account." Extremely disorganized and chaotic customer service. Billing is a horrorshow. Both our inverters went out in January 2022. It took them until September to get them replaced. Meantime, our bills kept coming, showing "production" - during the months it wasn't producing! We are in the process of attempting to get their production logs, which should show actual production, but it's like pulling teeth. Been attempting to get my system worked on since September 2021 (OVER ONE YEAR AGO). Initially they said my home was producing but the inverter was reading errors. After months of trying to get someone to service my home they come out state I need a new inverter, it would take 6 weeks to come in. THEN MONTHS later nothing, I keep emailing and complaining I get ignored. FINALLY, someone comes out again and guess what??? they need to order parts again!!!!! I purchased an NRG contract that was eventually taken over by Spruce Power couple of years ago. Fast forward couple of years, for the past few months, I noticed my energy bill was very high. In September 2022, I received an energy bill that exceeded $600, which prompted me to log into my system. I noticed my system was showing “offline” status since January thru September. Funny, I don’t have solar panels, have never talked to anyone other than to say “we’re good” YET, I have this company pop up on my credit with a charge of over $8400!! Seriously, are we just stealing peoples information now? Furious doesn’t even begin to say what I am. Not only am I disputing this, but I will go as far as I have to to let everyone know what kind of company you are. News, media, lawsuit, whatever it takes.

I purchased from NRG, contract sold to Spruce Juniper, have been complaining since Nov or Dec of 2021, in reference to the fact that I had to have new panel box. Electrician installed all breakers to panel except Solar Breaker. Have been asking solar company to come and install a breaker to my service panel since 2021.
