Is there a way to start a class action lawsuit on this company? Have had issues with them since the day I went into contract (Jan 2021) with this house. The Seller's attorney's had to threaten a lawsuit in order for Spruce to provide the paperwork to sell the home ( they held up the closing date and was pushed to April 2021). I just spoke to Spruce worker Edwards today regarding the billing statement and my check. My check sent out in June 15 and the due date will be 7/1/22. Usually, Spruce Financial cashed out my check within 5 days, now is more than 10 days . I checked my bank, the customer service said she did not see my check being cashed out or pending. I did not know why Spruce did not cash out my check???. or just want to hold my check??? Poor customer service. Our system's been offline since November, 2021 and yet our monthly bills seemed higher than the previous year. After several agonizing phone calls, they promised to send Spruce's local tech staff to check & reset our system but, it is now 3 weeks and I have not received any follow up service call. Billing department extension #1 are quick to response when collecting payments issues, but the Service Dept. extension #5 are poorly trained and are slow & unresponsive to our concern. For over 6 months I have been callling to find out why my electric company is not receiving any power from my system. Your people keep saying the system is fine but needs new meter. They have been promising that for months now a repair person came this week said fuse is blown and will by pass until new part can be put in. This company overcharged me for a month. I had to put a stop payment on my bank account otherwise they would have taken a second payment after I moved eight months prior. I’ve called 14 times since then over a span of nine months to get my refund for the over billing. All I’ve gotten was a runaround. I’ve talked to at least 10 different people telling me the same thing that my refund is “in process” and nothing has been done. This company is horrible, it’s been a nightmare!!!!
The Solar panels are not working properly. I made multiple unsuccessful attempts. I get a different answer each time I reach out to Spruce power. The customer service individuals are like robots reading from a script. No one take ownership. All I want is a fully functional unit. Paying $250 per month is ridiculous for anything that does not work.
I don't think, "I know that this company is fradulent", don't pay them a dime and look for every way they have breached their so called contract, and take them to small claims, or sue them in civil court. nightmare!!! zero customer service. Non-transparent bills. Fees on top of fees. Stay away!
My contract has been sold three times, ending up with Spruce Power. After constant problems with billing we decided to buy out our contract. It took an incredible effort to get a buy-out amount from them then, when we asked for an address and how to make out the certified check, we got another run-around. These people don't know what they are doing OR they are crooks. I am inclined to believe the latter. If I could give them a 0 star I would.
