My solar contract was sold by NRG to Spruce Finance/Spruce power/Energy service experts. A check made in September 2020 was finally credited to my account in Dec 2021. I paid their invoice first and tried to sort out credit later. That was a mistake. Immediately after that check was appropriately credited, my invoice was slapped a $10 late fee. I refused to pay and the late fee would accumulate since then. I was told that a $10 late fee is added to the monthly payment. If my account is credited "on time", the fee would be wa... read more

I would never again get involved with spruce power. When I signed up for solar I signed up with NRG. I was lied to about my contract. The people at spruce are NOT HELPFUL. They own my panels but refuse to protect them from critters. They say it’s my problem. When I go to get help the company can do the work but won’t because I don’t own them. I tried to do the right thing by going solar and all it’s been is a headache. Because they refuse to put a guard up the critters have ruined my roof and I now need to replace a roof tha... read more

I am so frustrated with Spruce. I have sent numerous e-mails concerning my bills. First, they were always received later than the due date or within a day or two before the due date . . . which doesn't allow an adequate enough time to pay. Second, I asked that I receive my bills by e-mail . . . that hasn't happened. Then, I couldn't get into my account and after numerous calls and e-mails I finally could . . . only to find that one month I had nothing pending, then the next month it looked like I had 3 bills to pay. The worst company I have EVER delt with. When you call the 800 # listed on their website as well as on their invoices they make you wait on hold for about an hour until an answering service picks up. You ask to be redirected but that is not possible, they ask you to leave a message, and then no one ever calls you back. The website is awful, log in to look at your solar production which they do have a chart for, except it is stuck on Nov. 2021. - 10 STAR. This company need to get class action. They charge you for not have ACH and its not in the contract. Customer service is garbage save some headache and stay away. UNBELIEVABLE

Blatantly been told my system is working above 80% and therefore a defective panel witch needs to be replaced due to lease agreement and the company refuses to replace the defective panel.

Their customer service is terrible. No one is accountable and no one has the ability to resolve their many billing issues. They overbill every month and after waiting on hold to speak to their billing department, the representative is unable to do anything and no supervisor or manager is ever available. I waited two week for a supervisor to respond to my call, no response. I called again (after two weeks of waiting for a response) only to be told that they would request another supervisor to call me back (no time frame). Wor... read more

Wish we could write a review using 0 stars. Lucky for me my solar panels and workings are through a different company, unluckily SPRUCE is used for their billing. They give new definition to the word FRAUDS. They billed me for 2 months that my solar was inoperable, I've still been trying to get that money back since May of 2021 because I was on AUTOPAY. Finally got to talk to a real person in September of 2021 to take me off autopay because they took $82 more out of my checking than my bill was, which of course I didn't know... read more
