I don't think, "I know that this company is fradulent", don't pay them a dime and look for every way they have breached their so called contract, and take them to small claims, or sue them in civil court. That is what I am doing, I tried to contact their legal department by mail and it all comes back regarding the address they said contact. nightmare!!! zero customer service. Non-transparent bills. Fees on top of fees. Stay away!
My contract has been sold three times, ending up with Spruce Power. After constant problems with billing we decided to buy out our contract. It took an incredible effort to get a buy-out amount from them then, when we asked for an address and how to make out the certified check, we got another run-around. These people don't know what they are doing OR they are crooks. I am inclined to believe the latter. If I could give them a 0 star I would.
My solar contract was sold by NRG to Spruce Finance/Spruce power/Energy service experts. A check made in September 2020 was finally credited to my account in Dec 2021. I paid their invoice first and tried to sort out credit later. That was a mistake. Immediately after that check was appropriately credited, my invoice was slapped a $10 late fee. I would never again get involved with spruce power. When I signed up for solar I signed up with NRG. I was lied to about my contract. The people at spruce are NOT HELPFUL. They own my panels but refuse to protect them from critters. They say it’s my problem. When I go to get help the company can do the work but won’t because I don’t own them. I am so frustrated with Spruce. I have sent numerous e-mails concerning my bills. First, they were always received later than the due date or within a day or two before the due date . . . which doesn't allow an adequate enough time to pay. Second, I asked that I receive my bills by e-mail . . . that hasn't happened. Then, I couldn't get into my account and after numerous calls and e-mails I finally could . . . only to find that one month I had nothing pending, then the next month it looked like I had 3 bills to pay. The worst company I have EVER delt with. When you call the 800 # listed on their website as well as on their invoices they make you wait on hold for about an hour until an answering service picks up. You ask to be redirected but that is not possible, they ask you to leave a message, and then no one ever calls you back. The website is awful, log in to look at your solar production which they do have a chart for, except it is stuck on Nov. 2021. - 10 STAR. This company need to get class action. They charge you for not have ACH and its not in the contract. Customer service is garbage save some headache and stay away. UNBELIEVABLE
Blatantly been told my system is working above 80% and therefore a defective panel witch needs to be replaced due to lease agreement and the company refuses to replace the defective panel.
