We normally always love this restaurant. However, the food taste and portion size was not nearly as good as normal. The fish tacos were very small in portion- there was an extremely small portion of fish.....and they did not taste as good as normal. The smothered chicken was just ok....
As a party of six people with an OPEN TABLE reservation I did not expect to be jammed into a booth. From that point on it was downhill because of our waiter who was trying his best to run up the bill by pushing for drinks etc and constantly had us repeat our order because he claimed he could not hear. If you are looking for an over priced place to eat, you will enjoy this place.
Reservations at 7:30 on 2/11/12. We were on time. Didn't get seated until 7:50. Food service was slow, as if Saturday night had caught them by surprise. Staff (including manager) was aware enough to come around and communicate/apologize, which was appropriate. Food did come out hot, which was nice after the long wait.
steak not prepared as requested........came out worse the second time (and after 3 dining companions were FINISHED with their meal)had to ask for bread and received an hour after ariving, bartender THREW the empty wine bottles in the trash with a LOUD CRASH every 15 minutes or so. Manager took my meal (most of which was uneaten)off the bill.......didn't salvage the evening for me.
Medium Rare Hambuger was served Well Done. Table was too small and in the Bar area eventhough we had a reservation.
I have eaten here many times. The food has been very good as has been the service. However It has been my experience that the Chef's special on holidays has been disappointing. There chefs special on this occasion was very bad.
This is one of our favorite restaurant, the food was great as always, but we were bummed for having to wait over 30 minutes past our reservation time, Yes they were busy. I suggest that they be more attentive and update those that are waiting, we and others had to approach the hosts for an update, more then once. Host could have done better, but the food was outstanding, and this is the only time we have been disappointed. I'll still go back.
Staff did not listen - seemed disconnected. Steak was fatty.
This is a place I really want to like, but every time I go there something is just off. This visit, I ordered salmon well done on a salad. I repeated the "well done" at the end of my order. When it was served, it came out medium - not cooked all the way through. When the next plate came out there was noticeably less lettuce and cheese. The salmon portion was also smaller. The one plus, their desserts are good.
