This predatory shop lied and tried to scam me out of $2K. I am a young woman who admittedly knows little about cars. I realized the rear right door of my car had a leak as it became filled with water over the rainstorms. Before I took it in, I knew my right rear automatic window still worked. I did not tell the shop this. When I heard back from the shop, they said the leak was due to a damaged door gasket. Late model BMW had a coolant leak, my local BMW shop closed Sunday so booked an appt at Stress Free to address coolant leak. Initial impression clean well organized shop with professional service reps. However, miscommunication with Tyler resulted in Phil eventually managing my repairs. I visited Stress Free Auto Repair at 2970 Winchester Blvd 5 days ago, for a simple oil change. After dropping off my car, the shop call.ed me and said I urgently needed two front tires and front brakes, quoting me a total of $1,600 Before agreeing, I checked with my husband. He recommended I get a second opinion, so I went to Costco for the tires and Meineke on Hamilton for the brakes. Costco inspected the tires and confirmed they are still about 70% good. Tried this place for the first time based on their strong Yelp reviews. I came in around 12:30 PM for a simple nail puncture repair and also asked them to check and add air to the other tires, since they were all low. I didn't leave until close to 3 PM, which already felt excessive for the work requested. To make matters worse, the repaired tire was overfilled, while the other tires were never touched despite their report stating that all tires were serviced. I scheduled an appointment for 1pm and was given a clear price quote over the phone. When I arrived, I was told the quote was incorrect and that the actual cost was $200 more. On top of that, they informed me they would no longer honor my 1pm appointment and moved it to 4pm. I had rearranged my entire workday for this appointment, so this was extremely frustrating. A few months ago, I took my car to Stress-Free Auto Care, they quoted me for $4000+ for fixing a component. I took the car to a second place, and they told me this fix was completely unnecessary. I ended up not fixing it, and my car has been running fine. Don't take your car to this place. They are either incompetent or untrustworthy. Either way, I won't ever take my car back to this place again.

We recommended repairs based on the code that was present from your check engine light and verified that it was an issue. We are happy your vehicle is running fine without the repair. To be clear more than half the total estimate was due to normal maintenance items like an AC system being inoperative.

I have been to this company three times now. The attendant/manager has always been a very helpful and very courteous. No complaint there. What I don't like is there outrageous prices on everything and the complete marketing strategy to push sales and services at every opportunity? i call that number nothing to do just asking now i ask car dealer the part they change is still under warranty but i pay for them.. they say call that number i thought can help nothing to do just asking and said she will be call back to me but now i dont no how many weeks nothing to here... so stressful
