I was thinking 3.5 but rounding up to 4 stars because TACOS. I waited a minute before checking them out. Dined on a Friday afternoon and were seated immediately. We sat at the bar and ordered our tacos. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the space is large with various areas for seating. I had the: All tacos ordered with everything. Food: Carne Asada Taco - a bit salty and didn't have that really smokey taste and smell to it. it was somewhat missing flavor to the meat? it also had beans! it wasn't bad it was still decent but i've definitely had better. Food tasty. Ordered 1 mulita and it was enough to share it. Lots of carne asada meat , cheese , and guacamole, all the fixings and wonderful tasting corn tortillas. Service needs help or better system for to go orders. The hostess took our order to go, and she didn't check the kitchen or behind her when the waiter set our order on shelf behind her. this place tops EVERY taco place i've ever had. they do not play with the tacos and load them up. the fries were the BEST asada fries and i dream about them; they're crunchy and soft in the middle i would say i wish they added more crema other than that still fire. the only thing they need to add is a to go bc it's a dine in only. other than that 100/10.

I love that they are on this side now. It was a solid taco. Nothing explosive about it but it was solid. Service was good, ambiance was typical taco shop. My tripas wasnt crunchy like i like, they add beans if you ask con todo which i think code for less meat.

BEST TACOS IN THE USA! Great quality meat and tortilla, they are delicious. Great ambience and service too. The tacos come out quick! Suadero Taco 10/10 Al Pastor Taco 10/10 Asada Taco 10/10 Beans were okay, not special.

I had Tacos El Franc for the first time and it was just too saucy and a little too spicy. My tacos came out pretty fast which I appreciated. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed them, needed lots of napkins and gobbled them up fast. Next time, I would order without sauce and ask for some on the side. I will definitely order the tripa, lengua, adobada and campachana again.

Tacos El Franc's Tijuana location was in the Michelin Guide in the 2024 and 2025. They opened their first San Diego location June 11 2025. There were lines out the door for months. I visited at opening time on a weekday in September and it was not too busy. I noticed Tacos El Franc has one spit for their adobada. Some of their drinks are pre-made so you don't have to wait.
