There are two things that will bring me back to a certain restaurant. The food and the customer service. Tacos El Franc has both of these 100 percent. I have dine in three times already and the food and people continue to be great. Of course, there is somethings I don't like. On this last visit I was charged almost 5 dollars for chiles and Cebollas which I didn't mind paying, until I received them. I got two chiles that appeared to have been sitting since the day before. It's fair to mention that at other places they are ... read more

We've eaten at the one in Mexico. So decided to try it. It was good. Just didn't meet expectations. The service was friendly. The meats were good. Salsas as well. Just needed a little more flavor. But over all it was a nice and clean space. Friendly staff. And very festive.

Business response:

Hi, Katia. Your feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you for the review!

Food was okay. Prices are very high for what you get. Nothing was over the top delicious. The establishment is very clean and there's a lot of parking. I doesn't taste anything like their TJ location.

Business response:

We don’t have parking. Your review is factually incorrect.

Tacos El Franc is located inside a mall. There's already a line in the morning before they even open. They bring you in and seat you and then come by to take your order. When ordering in a big group, it gets a little confusing because they're so many tacos coming out when available, so not all of your food will come out at once. The meats are good and the tacos come pretty loaded. The meats are fresh and flavorful. The drinks offered were refreshing as well. Their asada fries were so good.

Business response:

Hi, Nina. We appreciate the kind words and are glad we could provide you with a positive experience!

My kids and I tried this place yesterday. Such a cute spot and the customer service was on point. It was so nice to actually sit down and be served after being on our feet all day. We had adobada tacos and carne asada. We also ordered a quesadilla on the side. I regret not ordering more quesadillas. They were so delicious. My boys are all about the cheese pull. Anyway, we all loved the delicious tacos. They are my new favorite spot, and even my two picky boy's said they're the best in town. We will be back!

Business response:

Hi, Christy. Thanks for taking the time to share your positive experience. We truly appreciate it!

Finally made it out to Tacos El Franc, overall the experience was not bad. We were sat down promptly, the music and ambiance was pretty good. The waitress and food service was faster than I was expecting. I tried three different tacos and an agua fresca everything was delicious. The waitress brought us a plate with limes, radishes, and cucumbers while we waited for our tacos. I tried a carne asada, taco de cabeza, and an adobada taco, all came with different salsas and all delicious. The salsas are spicey but not too hot but... read more

When we heard that tacos el franc was opening up in Gaslamp we kind of did not want to go. But after a quick yelp search we saw that there was one at Plaza Bonita. So yay, parking is not gonna be an issue here! We've gone for lunch twice within the past month. Enter through the mall and wait to get seated! They have an outdoor patio so we brought our dog with us. A server will come to your table and take your order. THEY ARE QUICK! I ordered the suadero (beef brisket - my FAVE here), asada, lengua, and adobada. All the stea... read more

I went here when it first opened and if you haven't been recently is definitely worth going back. They locked in the unique and amazing flavor of the original TJ location. The food is amazing. I usually eat 3 tacos but, I destroyed 6 without even realizing. The service was fast and thier was no line which was nice. The ambiance has always been great and they did a great job capturing the feeling of the original but, modernizing it.

Business response:

Hi Ethan! Thanks for your review. If you ate with us when we first opened we invite you to come back. Our kitchen staff is now now matured and developed in the art of “The Taco”. I’m sure you’ll be impressed when you visit us again. And THANK YOU so much for taking the time to write this review.
