My daughter just finished her rehab at The Camp. I literally took her out of the state we live and put her here. My experience with the program and the counselors has been nothing but amazing. It was really hard for me to put my daughter somewhere that was literally 800 miles away and to leave her with complete strangers. If I hadn't found The Camp my daughter would have overdosed by now. She felt safe there and she loved the staff. The relationships she formed with some of the residents, I believe, will be life long. Her ca... read more

I read with interest all of the reviews about the Camp. I think there is a little truth in all of them. It is true that it will not "fix" the addict that does not want to be clean. That can't be forced upon the addict. I know recovering addicts that have been to rehab 5-6 times, until they finally reached the point of wanting to be clean. Don't blame the Camp or any other program if you or your loved one does get or stay clean. It is a personal decision to recover not one that any program or treatment can impose on the ad... read more

I was checked into the camp in feb. 14 2011 . They took great care with me. I was extremely fragile . I built up walls . Staff was able to see right through. Learning on a spiritual level. I'm a much better person now . Steve Webb was a caring ,and concerned staff member . I wish I could do the program all over again . I have over two years . Thanks to the camps program , I needed to add a few things to my yelp review for camp recovery . I'm still clean my clean date is feb 14 2012 . All most three years . Ya I didn't ge... read more

My then 15-year old daughter went to The Camp Recovery Center for 2 mos. and I was impressed by the staff, especially her case manager, the head of the Camp and some of the counsellors. Their caring and words meant a lot to her, really a lot. Is The Camp perfect... no. Is it expensive... very (hopefully your insurance will pay for at least a month, ours did not). It was an important first step in turning her life around. It is short-term therapy. Again, short-term therapy which is meant to get you started in the right direct... read more

I don't have an personal knowledge about Camp Recovery. I'm in the process of picking a rehab. But I had to comment on the person who left the one star review and said to check out Mount Bachelor Academy. Okay, that place was shut down by the state, so that person isn't a reliable source to give Camp Recovery one star :/ just sayin'.

The Camp Recovery. Aw What an amazing place. I am 16 years old and attended The Camp about two months ago. I'm so appreciative of all the techs there. Even though I was a pain in there butts, I really wish I could take it all back. I was sent to a behavioral facility right after my stay there because I wasn't following directions. Although I wasnt, I very much soaked in everything they had to say. I really wanted sobriety in my head but didnt want to show. Why? I dont know. But I've been sober for 84 days today and that is b... read more

My husband and I took our 17 year old son to Camp Recovery Center two years ago. To this day, he is healthy, sober and successfully attending college. After years of worrying and trying any and all available programs and resources, nothing was working, and we realized that his drug and alcohol use were the result of the disease of addiction. We were scared beyond measure as we watched our bright, capable, happy son lose himself in his addictions. One day, an intake worker at an out-patient teen drug center suggested this Cam... read more

My son attended the camp in December 2012. He is an alcoholic and he was literally slipping away from me in front of my eyes. He is young, 21, and I was a frantic mess seeing the runaway train heading straight to jail. He was not going to be able to abide by any court ordered DEJ programs because first and foremost he is in alcoholic and needed help. We, by some miracle, were able to get him to go to the Camp. And the Camp through its program, its counselors and its philosophy saved my son's life. I read other people... read more

... this post is long, but we cannot say enough good things about the Camp! Our experience with The Camp has been stellar. We were particularly fortunate in being able to send our child for a full 60 day treatment program thru Kaiser. Other insurance only covers 30 days which is NOT enough. We would have done 90 if we could have. It does not work to drop off my kid for 30 days, and say: "Fix them". Money alone will not do it. Placing all responsibility on my kid to change does not work. It is a family disease. I and my wi... read more
