Things were mostly fine until the bus stop at a station that wasn't advertised and would have made it more convenient for me to finish the trip home. I went to get off the bus and was told it would cost me an extra $20 TO GET OFF THE BUS THERE. I was basically forced to use their service, even though I didn't want to, being effectively confined back onto the bus. Sure, it's 'only $20" but I didn't want to be on the bus at that point. They cancelled my bus tickets last minute and wouldn't give me a reason as to why so I could rebook for a different day.
They held up the bus for 30 minutes waiting for ONE passenger. The bus has 55 seats, say 30 people were in there. The company wasted 900 minutes or 15 hours of people's time.
Driver/Pilot was trying to charge extra money where ever he can without any proper reason. I have seen him ask many passengers on today's 5.30pm bus from Edmonton to Calgary.
It was an odd experiance at Calgary airport. After finding the Canada bus desk unattended I was approcahed by another passeneger to be told we were to catch an uber to a location 15 kms away from the airport to board the bus. Bizarre.
Reliability is poor. I booked the Canada Bus from Calgary to Canmore, and return. For the outbound trip, I got a quite unprofessional phone call asking me to be at the designated spot 30 minutes earlier, at which point no bus was sent, it was a van, which was not communicated in the call so I nearly missed it. The return trip was outright cancelled less than 24hrs before departure, leaving me stranded.
incredibly unorganized. if i could give 0 stars i would. they lie about transport times, locations, delays etc. do not reccomend for anyone

This is the second time this has happened with Canada Bus. AC didn't work in the bus from Edmonton to Calgary 5:30 pm bus today. It was too late to change plans, but Canada Bus didn't even offer a refund or any other alternative, everyone was stinking, drenched in sweat by the time we reached Calgary. They don't maintain their buses well, couple of other times, the wheel balance was so off, the bus was shaking the whole way. Bus broke down just a little past red deer at 3:50 PM. Was told that the bus would come in 20, 25, or 30 mins, but in actuality, passengers did not get picked up until 3+ hours later. Was told that passengers would be given compensation but received no email about that. Instead of the company sending out an emergency bus, they decided to save money and wait until the next bus left Calgary (which was scheduled at 5:30-40) and would use that bus to pick up passengers.
