About The Chef My name is Paul Friedman and I like to think of myself as just an ordinary guy who has had a lifetime love affair with food and the fortune of having owned and operated 58 restaurants in South Africa, Europe and the United States. No matter what you decide to order everything is delicious. We have tried the lamb, the fish, the chicken, and the steak. Everything has its own unique taste. Prepared in the most interesting ways that deliver an absolute flavor to your palette. And the cherry on top, the fact that Chef Paul Friedman takes the time to interact with the patrons giving the history behind the preparation of every dish. It was not busy but our drink order arrived after our food did. The wine was incorrect, and it was never fixed. Food had great flavor but my wife had to have her meal warmed up.

Still near the top of our favorites. I had Vleis Pastie and big bowl of carrot ginger soup. She had Kingsklip, a South African white fish. As always, everything was excellent. Wait staff extremely friendly and efficient

The food was absolutely delicious. The chef came to our table, shared some history about the restaurant and some special menu items. He was delightful. My husband ordered a steak that was not well done for the first time in his life and loved it. I ordered the Kingclip fish topped with crab and lobster and it was amazing! The sticky toffee pudding was the finale! An excellent atmosphere and meal- this is a "must try".

This is absolutely the best restaurant we have found in Houston since we moved a year ago. Chef Paul is incredible and creates one of a kind dishes. Galina has been our waitress two times and is so friendly! Everyone who works there treats you like family. From when you call to make a reservation all the way until the end, is a wonderful experience. The drinks and wine are flavorful and unique. The staff all love working for this classy, lovely restaurant!

Love!!! This place is my go to for Sunday lunch/Brunch. Amazing service, knowledgeable staff, and chef owner always brings the most flavor to the dish!
