I've been a member of The Edge Riverside for quite a few years now. During the recent winter there have been so many people I know at the gym who have gotten sick and that includes trainers. I do not feel that The Edge Riverside is doing a good job any longer in keeping the place clean and hygenic. There are too many people constantly joining, and there doesn't seem to be enough staff to keep up with wiping down the machines, vacuuming, keeping the bathrooms clean. I have been a member for a number of years. During the Thansgiving week, my locker was broken into and money stolen from my wallet. So, I now do not use the lockers. Existing members please be aware. The showers do NOT have any amenities like soap and are in very poor condition. So I do not use them. I noticed the personal trainers do NOT wipe down the equipment after use, even though myself and many other members do. I have asked staff to get this addressed but nothing has been done. The whole entire workforce there is not a great place, the workers don't know any manners and they try to act chill but in reality, they don't get paid enough to deal with anything of that matter when it comes to customer support. I'm currently having a dispute with them over a simple refunding statement or a simple cancelation but the workers there don't understand a single thing when it comes to legal terms and onwards. The Staff is rude, the manager is a bully, no one greets you when you arrive or when you leave, no acknowledgment. the gym is way too small and you have to wait to use any of the equipment. don't wast your time and money

They see taking more money out of my bank account each month, with no statement on the app and they say they cannot provide a statement. I have put three phone calls in to the manager who has not returned the call. These are large amounts, well in excess of my training sessions. Donna is a great trainer, but the company is not transparent on its charges and there is no explanation for increased amounts each month.
I've been to every edge fitness in CT. Love them all except the Greenwich location. By far the worst Edge experience I've had. It's sad that many who live in this area will go to this location and think all Edge locations are like this. The staff is beyond rude, don't pay attention to you. The problem with The Edge is endemic to most health clubs. After negative experiences at NYSC, specifically their financial practices (they were sued for these) we were very careful about joining a new club. We joined Chelsea Piers for some time - it was the most up front when it came to accounting practices but you pay a hefty price for that. During Covid, Chelsea Piers reduced access to facilities so significantly that we didn't feel it was commensurate to their fees... which brings us to The Edge. We had researched gyms ... read more

BEWARE!! Once you give them a credit card, they will continue to charge you without your permission. They take no accountability and blame everything on corporate. Stay away as there are other gyms nearby that have a human side to their customer service.
