Short Version: The gym is OK only if you do the $20 monthly membership and nothing more. STAY AWAY from personal training or any other extra service. The Edge in Greenwich has horrible service. They have an attitude but are really nice when they want to sell you a membership. The gym manager is nasty and does not help or return phones regarding membership, rude and gym not clean. Not recommend for the money.

Not too bad for a gym if you can manage the parking on weekends. My big issue is that they scammed me out of a couple hundred dollars, partially my fault. I went in to cancel my membership six months ago. The gentleman at the desk said "OK, you're all set." He took my card and I left. This, apparently, is not how cancellations are done. I found out the hard way about four or five months later when checking my bank statements. They kept billing me for those months. It's a bad place . The manager on duty jul 9 7.20 pm should be fired . Not helpful, rude and treats you like a liar . Again she must be fired completely useless , rude . Doesn't even know how to treat clients . They are nice for you to become member but once you want to cancel the membership they make your life miserable . Very unprofessional. I went to sign up with my boyfriend and they NEVER informed us of their exact fees and I got charged with extra money after 3 months of being a member. When I called to discuss the amounts of money taken out of my account they informed me a female signed me up, but it was a guy. Just because I signed a contract for a year Otherwise I would of cancel my membership ASAP. Also, it's always crowded, there's no air ventilation. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM!!!

There trainers are amazing five stars but It's supposed to to be an amazing deal to join, buyer beware Phantom charges labeled " administrative fee or custodian fee, will start showing up along with misc manual upkeep. If your gonna join beware, if you have already joined watch your bill. That said Personal trainers are the best in the business.

They did a really good job taking pictures for this place, cause maaaannn I'll tell you it's small. Small and hot, felt like I stepped into a cramped subway train. Literally preparation dripping from the mirrors by the free weights. First time going there were 3 edge fitness desk guys working, yet none of them could sign me up. The only one that could was busy signing up a different couple, so they let me work out for free and THANK GOD cause this basement gym is horrible. Hidden fees, pushy sales staff, crowded basically at all hours. The 'free' personal training when you sign up is just another manipulative tactic to get you to sign yet another contract and commitment. Besides that, it's clean, has a great selection of equipment; however, the squat rack is constantly in use by one dude for hours, so actually getting your squats and deadlifts in can be a challenge. I don't know what the other reviews are talking about with hidden fees and the staff being unfriendly. My two stars comes from how outdated and dark it is in there. Compared to the other clubs this one is less than optimal for working out. Considering the area and demographic I expected better.
