I brought my cavalier in for doggy daycare and my initial impression was not good from the staff and smell of the lobby. I didn't really have time to find another option so I thought I would try it out (did not have yelp before otherwise I wouldn't have!). I've been taking my dog to here since he was a puppy, over 12 years. Since Jeff sold the business, the level of service and attention was noticeably not as good but this last boarding experience was the last straw for me. I recently boarded my dog in a villa for 8 days. I checked in on him on the villa camera several times during my trip to find his villa was often soiled with urine or feces that I had to call on to have it cleaned up. We had a very poor experience with Pet Spot. We recently brought our dog in for a daycare evaluation. The lobby smelled strongly in the morning when dropping her off, and smelled even worse in the afternoon when we picked her up. When they brought my dog back, she was whining, straining at the leash, and trying to make a beeline for the exit to get out of there asap - this is really strange behavior; my friendly extroverted pup usually wants to personally say goodbye with a wagging tail to everyone when we take her places. ... read more

Over the past year, we have regularly brought our golden-doodle Jack to the Pet Spot for boarding, day care, and grooming. Our experience was great, until it wasn't. My wife and I had read the cautionary tales and nightmare reviews online, and never thought that would be our story, too. First, let me say that I understand things happen with dogs. the entire place smells like antiseptic and dog poop so i can't imagine what my dog can smell. staff is standoffish and curt. when i asked about how my dog did during her eval the staff up front had no idea and they had to dig to get me information. my dog hated it there and shook whenever i dropped her off. i don't trust them with my dog.

Pet Spot: Pressure-washing kennel area while pets and their specialty food are present, doubled-up kennels despite having paid for two, pets returned urine-soaked with wet blankets. Look up dead dogs in 2013. I doubt things have changed much. Jeff, owner, is always "sorry that they didn't meet expectations".

My dog died from a collapsed trachea, which he had no prior history of, ten hours after being boarded at The Pet Spot. Their way of trying to resolve it was agreeing to pay his vet bill as long as I signed something stating I would not to tell anyone it happened, which I obviously chose not to sign. If you don't see any bad reviews here, chances are it's because they've silenced anyone who has had something tragic like this happen to their pet while being boarded as well.

I can honestly say that I've never had such a worse experience. We actually visited them approximately 5 months ago to board our cat for 3 days while we went on a short trip. We had a coupon for a free day with a multi day visit and were told we'd pay at pickup. We returned from our trip to have them tell us they wouldn't honor the coupon since the stay wasn't long enough, we paid the $50 and left. Only today, 5 months later to get a text message from one of the employees and no official invoice or explanation demanding $71... read more

I took my yellow lab here about a month ago and paid almost $90 for the full bath, groom, and brush out mainly because of how much labs shed. When I picked her up it did not appear she had been brushed at all which I thought was strange. Then when I got home and pet her, more hair was falling off than when I took her. They absolutely did not brush her so essentially I paid $90 for trimming her nails and giving her a bath. Will not be going back.
