I purchased a vehicle (2010 Prius) from Broadway Toyota recently and their sales staff was knowledgable, fast and excellent!!! From my salesWOMAN to finance...it was the best vehicle buying experience I've ever had. Not to mention their fabulous new building, cafe across the street and friendly service staff. I totally recommend you give them a try if you're in the market for a vehicle.
They were so busy with Cash for Clunkers they had no time to deal with me, since I was looking for an 8 passenger Sienna and they had none. They weren't interested in trying to track one down for me either (pity, since there were some in the Portland area, and I came to Broadway first based on their reputation. They could have done a dealer trade and earned my business). We bought a used Corolla. We went there because my friend Julie told us how wonderful the people were. We got a great price on a one year old certified Corolla. They showed us a Carfax and KBB without us asking. We knew to ask for them but didn't have to. Our Salesperson Brian Ramsdell was fantastic. He showed us all the cars available. I gave the highest rating because I would not have changed any part of the car buying experience I had at Broadway Toyota (except that it does take more than a half hour, but you really can't get around the paperwork). I knew what I wanted when I went in. OK, so I'm driving to work and the service light comes on. I'm about to leave that afternoon for a Canadian road trip with a car full of kids so I had to check in out. I drove into the dealer with no appointment and they greeted me in the indoor garage, opened my door for me, gave me a cup of coffee, a ride to work, for which I was only 5 minutes late. I have had my 88 Toyota Camry serviced at Broadway Toyota for the past 4 years. I ask for Emily, a service manager in the shop. She is consistently efficient, friendly and personable. I have worked with other service managers there and they are fine, though I much prefer Emily. She calls about the car when she promises and is very knowledgable about cars.
Bought a used Tacoma last week. Good vehicle, not the best deal. After all negotiations and payment they revealed there was only one smart key. No second key, no key code card, no key for the tailgate,glovebox or door. Dealership can make me a new key but said it would be $250 and just go see if someplace else will do it for less. None of this disclosed before purchase. Of course no post-purchase follow up. Pretty slimy used car sales tactics. Buyer beware!
Avoid Broadway Toyota – Worst Car Buying Experience Ever If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience at Broadway Toyota was absolutely horrendous, thanks to Brennan, the so-called salesperson who clearly hates his job. He was quiet, standoffish, and outright rude, making the whole process uncomfortable.
