Had Benjamin our first time and he was amazing!! Cynthia this time and she was rude, not attentive, and sarcastic. Love the food so much but if Benjamin isn’t our server/bartender i wouldn’t come back :(

The restaurant was packed because lack of competition in the area on Christmas night. We were seated at a table right next to the server station which was less than ideal. Chairs very uncomfortable. Server seemed beat, like he’d worked too many hours and wasn’t at all sharp. The food was good but way too much and expensive. Reduced serving size and matching reduced price would have been much better value. Probably won’t go back. Much better options.

A year ago we had a great experience and decided to come back for Christmas Eve dinner. There was 4 of us. Pizza was a hit once we received it after 75 min. Service was very slow. Veal chop was very tough. Scollop potatoes had no flavor. Pasta had no flavor and over cooked. Waitress did not seem concern about how slow things were or that half our plates were still full when table was cleared, Disappointed..

This used to be one of our favorite dining spots in NYC. Very disappointed in my last visit. The waiter forgot about our appetizers and brought it out 40 minutes later. For our main course, we were asked to change our order because the restaurant was out of chicken. Once we received out main course it was cold. In addition, I had to send my drink back due to a hair piece in the glass. The waiter never replaced the drink or apologized. Unfortunately, I will not be dinning here in the future.

Hemos ido con mi marido a la Trattoria otras veces que estuvimos en NY. Esta vez fue una decepción. Tardaron muchísimo en traer la pasta y estaba recalentada. Vieron Uds cuando algo se pega. Ni siquiera al dente. Demasiado dinero para eso.

When we arrived there were dozens of empty tables, including booths, which I had requested in my reservation (by default). The line to be seated was the pre theater kind of pandemonium and even at 5:15 (Carnegie shows start around 7/7:30) the place still have plenty of tables available. They send us upstairs, which perhaps is quieter and the host sat us in this cramped little corner with no leg room, no head room and a stuffed holiday wreath to have to deal with. Was excited to return to this restaurant, which I had visited many years before and loved. This time was very disappointing. The appetizers were lukewarm, but tasty. My daughter had ordered a salad in addition to the appetizers. We had not finished the appetizers when the main courses came out. We made a reservation for a birthday dinner one week in advance and they sat us at a crammed in table next to another table. They did not asked to take her codes as they were draped over the back of the chair and people were stepping all over them. The server was moody and not attentive and it ruined the whole mood of our meal. It took almost 10 minutes for her to even ask for a drink order another 10 minutes to receive them and we had to ask her if we could give her our food order. She seemed annoyed.
