We were very disappointed this time around. Haven't been there for a few years and the food was terrible and the prices were much higher than I recall. It used to be a place for reliable Italian food with moderate-high prices. Now it was dried up lasagna for an silly price. Would not go back again.
Not much to say. Across the street from Carnegie Hall gives an advantage. Food was so delayed that the drinks were free. People on a table close to us complained about everything: from the salad to the cocktails. Some others appeared happy. Oven-baked pizza : standard. No new flavors for the pasta. One more NY restaurant not worth for the money. Avoid it if you can go somewhere else but if you do not want to walk before or after Carnegie Hall, it may an option.
Antipasto good as always. All else, was mediocre at best.
The hostess assured me that my table in the front of the restaurant near the window was near a heater. There was no heater. And my dinner was cold within 5 minutes of it being brought to my table. The next time I want to waste $50 on a meal, I'll go somewhere else. Never again. This used to be a wonderful restaurant, but it's really slid down the scale.
Very disappointing. We had eaten there several times before and always had good food and excellent service. Food was forgettable. Was charged $4 for decaf coffee which I never received. When I pointed that out he asked if I still wanted the coffee. By that time we just wanted to get out of there. Took 15 minutes to even get the c... read more
hoping it was an off night
Food was really mediocre The prices were high Our pizza came stone cold and while they made a new one it was not much better
When our table got the bread basket, we were told that because it was the end of the day--7PM--the only bread that was left had hardened to a metal-like consistency. A more sympathetic waiter later brought us some less hard bread. I was not able to cut into the filet mignon that was ordered because it had the texture and taste of wood chips. The other dishes were barely tolerable.
I made the reservation well in advance and asked for quiet corner table we were placed in the front near the bar and coat check with people bumping into us and very noisy-I would never go here again.lunch was mediocre
