The food was delicious, when it actually came out correctly. But the service was horrendous. We went to the restaurant for a dinner meeting with a client and had the worst service. Food came out wrong, then cold, and it was as if we were a burden to him if we even tried to order another bottle of wine or a cocktail ( he was not busy in his section either) Very dissapointed with the staff.
Our waiter, Luis, was wonderful! The food was mediocre and overpriced, even for NYC standards. Will not go back.
Expensive for what you get. Paying for location. Staff very friendly but lacks experience and in need of training. ( settings for 7 for a group of 8, putting out 1 dipping dish and 1 bread basket for the same group, etc, etc)The most important thing however was my group was from the Midwest and thought it was great.
Lost any luster it might have ever had.
Avoid the risotto ($35.00!) at all costs. We have given up on Cafe Fiorello because the food has gotten so bad over the past few years, and now we must give up on one of its sister restaurants, Trattoria Dell'Arte, for the same reason.
What HORRIBLE service we received!!! This was my second time at this restaurant, and i may not return there unless dragged to try one more time.
There is nothing special about this restaurant; although it clearly tries hard to "be" special. It is noisy and very, very cramped and crowded. I felt like I was among cattle being rustled in and out. The food is very average. They could have told us the individual pizzas are large enough for two, so we didn't have to order 4 of them for 4 people. What a waste of food time and money.
Definitely not a as good as usual, including food, service, and atmostphere (we sat in the front part of the restaurant, which is the least attractive part.
Too crowded. Our table was in the middle of a high-traffic service aisle and we were constantly interrupted by waiters and guests. Very un-relaxing!
