The food was good. Service good. A moderate place for dinner.

I have been patronizing Trattoria Dell'Arte for over 15 years. The food is consistently good and the service is always friendly. The pizza is very much my favorite - perhaps the best gourmet pizza in the city.

Went here for lunch during a recent three day trip to NYC during a :deep freeze with snow" at the suggestion of the concierge at the Essex House. Fantastic pizza and a variety of Italian specialties sealed our love of this neighborhood gem. Even my VERY picky niece loved her food, including the caprese salad with house made mozzarella. We enjoyed the menu so much that we went to brunch (slightly different menu) there on the morning of our departure from the city to fly home. The staff was very nice and helpful during both vi... read more

Although the night we went was a very busy one for the restaurant, with lots of folks arriving at the same time we did, the Maitre d' kept everyone at ease as they negotiated the groups to their tables. Once we were seated, the hostess was very friendly (not frantic at all) and allowed us to take our time....

I have gone to this wonderful restaurant for years. From the greeting at the front to the service to the goodbyes, it is the pinnacle of good service. The extras of cookies and limoncello are an added touch. The thin crust pizza is amazing!

From our greeting at the door by the Maitre D' ...Brandon...we were immediately embraced as a returning customer. On a very cold winter night.....polar vortex in full swing in NYC.....a Neil Young concert we were due to attend across the Street at Carngie Hall looming in a couple of hours.... We were immediately ushered to our lovely booth in the back...cocktails provided within minutes.... The pacing of our dining experience...incredible. Not at all rushed...but all delivered within the time needed to get to the show at Car... read more

We were across the street at a Carnegie Hall concert and for convenience booked the reservation at Trattoia Dell Art and were blown away at the quality, flavor and presentation of the food. I had the lobster that came with the most delicious thick seafood soup with farro. The lobster was first rate. My husband had veal piccata with a side of broccoli rab. We shared braised octopus and calamari for our appetizer. Everything was terrific I have had better Tartufo for desert,so I would choose something else next time. The outsi... read more

The service was exceptional! We were seated upstairs, according to trip adviser reviews, is the quieter section. However, it was VERY loud and there were some really big parties seated near us. The food was good, but the prices were very high.

Really enjoyed our first meal in New York. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a nice ambiance. Food was great - largest tuna I've ever had and cooked perfectly!
