Very dingy room. Untrained guest service personnel. The room was dirty, had bugs, and there were many repairs in progress. The carpet, walls and love seat had imbedded stains. The mirror was rusted out in bottom and I think that was were the bugs were coming from. The ceiling was caving in in the corner and the wallpaper was peeling off. 2nd Stay at the Tropicana ! The drinks are very watered down at the casino. Have decent drinks for people spending so much money. Its a win win. The Chelsea five was way too cold by the window. We literally had to rush our food to eat it while still warm. Check in is really late. Half the day. Especially for people catching the greyhound to get in at 11 or 12. The seating room for boarding the bus was also uncomfortably freezing. Miserable. I like the shop that sells the thin pancakes. Can't think of the proper name. CREPES!... read more

Our stay left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately the cleanliness of our room was not what I would expect. The floors were very dirty, as were the window sills and tables/dressers. While I understand the hotel has limited elevators, me and my partner only spent one night and had waisted nearly 40 minutes waiting to even reach our room. Not a horrible value, but not as good as in the past. We were there to celebrate two birthdays, and in my experience, most hotels offer something extra for birthday visitors. Instead of any perks, first we were placed in a room at the elevator shaft so we couldn't sleep basically at all the first night. That room should never ever be used for customers, unless they're legitimately deaf - or the price should be $10/night with a warning that you won't be able to sleep.
