We were excited to get new windows, and I do admit that the windows are absolutely gorgeous and change the look of our house. That said, for the amount of money that we spent the workmanship and cleanup of the job site after the windows were installed has left us frustrated and disappointed with this company. The job site was left a complete mess With plastic pieces, installation pencils in various items left in our yard for us to clean up. The communication is terrible but I had a very difficult time talking to someone they put me off told me they would call me back and did not call
I am really being nice giving a 4 as the installer was a nightmare and it took forever to get replacements and still do not have a signed copy from the installer. The installer after being rude and basically running out the door and leaving trash and some old windows behind. The only saving grace has been the seller, the person who came and took care of the replacement screens and some of the people on the phones trying to take care of things. If it was not for them I would be giving the a 1 start and not a 4.
Thomas Ray was our installer, and he did a great job. They cleaned up everything like it was before they came and was very informative and friendly as they got the job done.
We would choose a different company next time.
I will NOT refer Universal windows mainly due to the customer service. Ordered windows Feb. 28, 2001 signed contract March 1, 2021. Waited for windows to be installed on June 29-30. Broken window, torn screen, and a HUGE measuring error on my walk doors (3" too big). I was instructed that customer service would contact me. Waited a week no contact. Contacted Kim Kinsella on July 5 I was able to get customer service to call me. I was instructed that it would be August 9 before I would get my new doors and windows repaired/rep... read more
