uShip was helpful in that I was able to find a shipper that would deliver my furniture. Upon researching uShip, I found that uShip charged the shipper almost 15% as a fee, and I also paid a fee of $30 for the service. The quote was for $400, so between the shipper and myself uShip received $87.50 in fees. I do not believe they screen the shippers in any way, and uShip will not get involved if there is a problem with a shipper and buyer beware stance. Be careful of shipping scams through UShip! My shipment was stolen by the carrier and UShip provided no effective assistance. After filing police reports, retracing phony stories, and dealing with the fact that my treasured items were most likely at a pawn shop and I would receive no reimbursement, my only recourse is to warn others. The online systems of UShio do not work properly, the quotes given are never accurate and at the point of check-out the price ALWAYS goes up by a significant irregular amount. Additionally the system is not always able to create a quote and they have a support email for no reason because "Kelly" does not solve your issue she only directs you to go online or call and online does not work and they cannot quote from the phone... I will summarize my experience in the fact that the vehicle I hired uShip and their transporter to deliver to me was totaled while in transit to me. I fully realize accidents will happen, that's not the biggest issue, the issue is that the transporter delivering the vehicle to me didn't even have a commercial insurance policy. My response is very similar to the 03/28/2020 complaint documented here. I was involved with Uship without choice due to a job another party eed to direct through a broker. The other party managed poorly and place Uship in a hard position. When I called uShip to straighten it out, understanding there was a problem and giving them credit to work it out, uShip stated they could not disclose the issue. DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS ! I had picked up a boat . A 28ft Crownline from Wichita Kansas and was to transport it to grove Oklahoma. Day I picked it up had issues with trailer. Fixed it. Customer released code and I have yet to receive my money! Nothing, no way to call and talk to a live person, no response to my emails. BIGGEST SCAMMERS IVE SEEN IN YEARS ! DO NOT USE USHIP!!
