Our Mom has been at Vasona Creek since March of 2010. When she arrived we were not certain she would make it. The nursing staff helped her and us through an extremely emotional and challenging time. There are many of us to visit so we are there daily and see how people are taken care of by the entire staff and they all do their share to make life as comfortable as possible considering the circumstances of individuals. went in to vasona with shattered knee.a week into I had new roommate moved in to make three beds in roo. This new manswhife told him how things are going to be. . Anyway the new guy had dimensia and body slammed himself on my lnewly constructed knee (he didn know where he was not his fault. Staff refused to look into more medication temp as well refused to bring me to hospital for X-rays. They make it extremely difficult to access doctors to advocate for your loved one so they can progress and move on from there. If you have no choice but to place someone here, prepare to have to monitor their care closely. It is a zoo.

I have requested copies of any documents that either of us signed, which authorized the additional 2 week stay from 4/16 to 4/30. Nothing has been forthcoming and the facility has stopped communicating with our advocate, who is providing assistance to get all the facts. The next step will be an attorney or the media. If we signed anything that authorized the stay, then we will have proof to pay the bill. Otherwise, they are not allowed to bill us. It seems to me they are trying to sweep this under the rug.

In fairness, the facility looked nice and clean. It also had a lot of activities. However, the patient rooms looked to have 2 or 3 patients per room. My father died at this skilled nursing facility during his recovery. He was stuck in a Covid patient room that was very small and shared with another patient. My father had cleared Covid about a week earlier and was waiting to be placed in a new room. But none of the regular patient rooms were available. We kept waiting for an opening. If I could give zero stars I would. The care my husband received was very good UNTIL: They didn't get authorization for another 2 weeks of care and Physical Therapy, didn't tell us, and kept him for an additional 2 weeks. Now they are trying to bill us saying that the insurance rejected the claim. That's not true. The insurance wants more information. They are refusing to provide it. They know keeping him without payment arrangement was not pursuant to the insurance but never told us or asked for our authorization. Our adv... read more

Outpatient Post-Op Rehab Referral So far I've been less than impressed with the way my referral to their on site services for post-op rehab as an outpatient has been handled. I had surgery on 6/2/2025 and spent a week in the hospital. After discharge, I was given a referral to a different physical therapy provider that unfortunately didn't take my insurance. Recovering from quadruple bypass surgery, I was sent here for rehabilitation, this has got to be one of the most horrific places to be housed. I came here at 5:00pm 05/16/2025 did not receive a bed until 2 hours later, once I received the bed, I discover the sheets have not been changed, the bed's alarm would not shutdown. It took another 2.5 hours before that situation was rectified. The bed is finally ready for me and the roommates are using their phones at full volume 1:00 am. Unfortunately, they deserve 0 stars for poor phone service. Completely crap phone service!! It's a hit or miss if they answer the phones here. You are on hold and and they either forget your on the line holding or hang up on you. I've called several times and no answer this is repetitive process they put you On Hold just to hang up or never pick up. Crappy customer service and no monitor of their lousy phone system. Ridiculous untrained lazy no phone service to residents.
