It's taken me a few months to write this review, as I needed some time to grieve the loss of my mom who passed away in December 2021.  First off, my husband and I want to say thank you to all the staff members at Vasona.  You became like a family to us during my moms stay there and your care for her meant the world to us! My elderly dad recently spent a week at this facility after a fall and other issues (declining cognition, mobility, etc). The staff, the facility, the overall care my dad received was simply incredible. Christina (his care manager) was the most kind, responsive, personable, and professional health care manager I have ever encountered. All around, A++. From top to bottom. My dad couldn't have been in better hands.

I cannot recommend Ezekiel Mendoza, the Social Worker at Vasona Creek Healthcare Center highly enough. He is the man that gets things done and promptly. Ezekiel is the most professional, caring and knowledgeable man there. Ezekiel is YOUR MAN to get things done! Ezekiel gave us his personal cell phone number to call if we needed anything and boy did he come through for us! He truly cares about patients and their families. My mom has been in three SNFs in her life. This is the best one by far. PERIOD. They called me and asked me what kind of music she liked, when she wasn't eating her full meals and kept me in the know about everything going on. No SNF is as perfect as you want it to be but this one was very impressive. Everyone was super kind from the front door reception to nurses and PTs. Thank you VC.

While Vasona Creek served a purpose and helped my grandmother regain her strength, our experience could have been better. I had a consistently hard time getting through to the staff over the phone, but with the COVID pandemic, I believe they had some staffing shortages. Ezekiel Mendoza was the social worker who helped my grandmother, and he was wonderful to work with. He seemed to genuinely care about my family and went above and beyond to help us during her stay and with her discharge from Vasona Creek.

I have to say putting a loved one especially your elderly father in a nursing home is a hard decision to make and on top of that finding a place that will treat them as if they were their own.I was faced with this task as my elderly father was weak from having pneumonia and sepsis.I was given a list of nursing homes from Kaiser to pick.Vasona was last on my list since it was far from our home.I looked up every nursing home on the list that where close to home.I read every Yelp review called a couple of medical friends on min... read more

Two things I appreciate about Vasona Creek is the beautiful facility. I have heard many comments about the facility as well as the nursing care. I appreciate their commitment to creating a safe environment. With things opening back up I notice more visitors. Thank you Vasona Creek and thank you to all the excellent nurses.

I'm writing this review firsthand being that I am a current patient. I've been receiving excellent care from the Doctors, Physical Therapists, Nurses and Certified Nurse Assistants(CNA). This includes the other staff members that provide for building maintenance, housekeeping, culinary, too. The facility is well maintained; Housekeeping assures cleanliness; Culinary provides a great tasting and nutritious menu while the scullery provides cleanliness and everyone abides to strict Covid Guidelines which is very reassuring.

My loved one was at Vasona Creek after leaving El Camino Hospital. I just want to say thank you. The nursing team took such good care of my loved one. Thank you to therapy for helping her walk again. She loved the food. Big thanks to Dr. Chi too.
