Problems with Product/Service On 8/26/2022 I paid $2235.64 for first month rent and deposit to Vinebrook Homes to begin occupancy at 7216 Park Ave Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. The leasing agent showed me where to sign on the lease handed me two keys and vacated the premises within 3-5 minutes of meeting there. I then noticed the refrigerator smelled of gassy fumes. Problems with Product/Service Vinebrook homes moved me into a home that was not ready for occupancy. They lied that the urine soaked subfloor had been replaced and that the ammonia smell would dissipate from the prior occupants, left carpet tacks covering the stairs so thickly I could not use the stairs without shoes, was injured and ended up in urgent care, and could not even move in until the work order was “completed” leaving an additional two handfuls of tacks that had to be removed in a later order, and done a week afte... read more
Problems with Product/Service Rented a home from Them. 1 day after moving in, found a hole in the walll behind the stove where rodents were entering and living in the stove. Finally got ahold of someone to be told they would bring another stove on Jan2nd which is 5 days later. They expected someone to live with that in their home. Day 2, woke up with whelps on ankles. Problems with Product/Service Nov 26 2023 I noticed my heat was not working. I put in a work order. They did not come until Dec 4 2023. They were not able to fix the issue. They did not offer me any help or compensation. I have young children. The company has been unresponsive and have not given me a timeline as to when the heat will be fixed.
Billing/Collection Issues This company has very non transparent business practices. I informed the company that I was moving out of state and would have someone applying for a lease takeover. They were completely fine with this request. When I found someone interested (my grandpa originally) they requested the persons name and told me to have the person come to their office to apply and pay the application fee. Problems with Product/Service I have put in a request for someone from Vinebrook to come out and take a look at the house because the walls are so cold and my house is not heating up. I reported this issue last winter and they did nothing. It is now winter again and the walls are cold as if this house does not have insulation in this house. Billing/Collection Issues I am writing to advise I wrote a check in November 28th in the amount of $1025.00 for my December's rent. In December 1st I logged into the portal to see that Vinebrook had added the sewer bill from the past two months.
