I want to rate you a zero, but I can't, so I give you.. a ONE. Out of most of the snacks, empty containers of drinks for tea, bathroom out of soap and toilets out of order, trash on the floor, and the air conditioning in our theatre was out and staff unhelpful about it. Alamo from now on, veering here was a bad idea.

The first several minutes of the movie we were trying to watch was interrupted by the confusion w seating and lack of ushers attempting to help remedy the ridiculousness. Nothing was done to fix this and still people ended up sitting in seats they had not purchased. I was so looking forward to this and was super disappointed. P.s. pizza wasn't sliced so we got to eat it like savages

Everything here is a mess. Sweet employees but they need a little more training especially the bartenders. The whole visit was chaotic. Newbies to VC forming random lines bc they don't know where to go or stand- arguing about who was first and blah blah blah. Waited 20 minutes to order cocktails and they were terrible. The martini was made with just vermouth and no vodka. Bartenders were so slow, didn't care to put a little pep in their step. Decent movie selection, the beer selection has faded fast, but my main issue is the smell. The place stinks and you stink when you leave. I assume its bad ventilation, but the lobby smells like the worst of the kitchen and it sticks to you. I can't take it and its made a place I used to love almost unvisitable.

At Violet Crown for the first time. Parking was easy and the place looked inviting. I made a mistake and sat at the section directly facing the bar to wait for my friend. A gentlemen showed up and I ordered a shot of Frangelico. He didn't know what it was or if they have it so he went back. I went up to him to spare him walking all the way back to me (second mistake). Honestly great movies here, all around cool place to go for movies except if you expect nice people behind the counter. One lady in particular was exceptionally rude. It was my first time here and the lady at the concession stand was honestly a brat when asked about the validation ticket. She was 20 something and that interaction makes me never want to return. It's a cool place and you'd expect them to have cool people. COME ON Violet Crown step it up.

Why is everyone so lame? Reading some of these one star reviews gave me a headache. THIS ISNT ALAMO. Just because it's a cinema that you can order food at doesn't make it fucking Alamo. If you can't handle a "smallish" portion of pricey food and a $10 ticket, don't come. Youre on 2nd street in downtown Austin to watch an awesome movie AND they give you free parking. Who else does that downtown? ....Uncomfortable seats? Rude service? I've never had an issue and I've been here a dozen times. Idiots

This place is a complete disgrace. My girlfriend and I had a customer service issue at the theatre in August, 2018. In addition, the place is a complete cluster. When you walk in, it's utter chaos. You'd think you were walking into a Pentagon building and not a customer-friendly movie theatre - it's so confusing. As we believe in second chances we decided to give it another shot. My boyfriend and I attended our first showing at Violet Crown on Thursday, September 6 (Operation Finale). We very much enjoyed the theatre itself and the movie.
