They have inappropriate and unethical billing practices. I am completely alarmed that I received notice from a collections agency before receiving a bill from Washington Radiology. It appears they waited 10-11 months to bill my insurance company and then immediately sent me to collections for not paying the copay when they never notified me about it! I am shocked this can even be legal. I have called multiple times and the billing department, which is not located at the practice, admits they made a mistake and had all kinds ... read more
do not recommend Solis Mammography. Working backwards in time, my mammogram was 17 days ago and I have not received results. I called, and was told there "had been a glitch" that caused a nine day delay in review. While at their location, their unfriendly front desk staff disrespectfully discussed a woman who had been confused about parking after she'd gone back. Calling the person with whom I originally scheduled the appointment "apathetic" is an act of generosity on my part. I used to depend on Washington Radiology. That's... read more
Most inept medical billing department that I've ever encountered. Despite twenty-one phone calls to them, they were still unable to correct their billing error and issue an accurate patient statement summary.
This review is not about the facility, lab staff, or it's equipment, it's about how it is almost impossible to get through to the 19th St location by telephone! I've tried multiple times, on multiple days, to reach the DC location by phone (202-223-9722), but no one ever answers. I follow the prompts and select the correct options to make an appointment, the system says you're being transferred to an attendant -- and then the call disconnects. When I tried the Chevy Chase location prompt, someone immediately answered, so app... read more
Terrible billing practices and follow up, and if you ever want to contact them regarding billing, you can't actually speak to someone at Washington Radiology, you can only contact an outside group that does the billing.
AVOID At Any Cost - There are many other options Their billing practices should be prohibited! Avoid them not only for their financial practices but to keep your sanity and save your own time. Washington Radiology billing practice is to create chaos so as to drain you away from demanding accuracy.
I went into this process rather positive. Visit 1: Back and forth about appointment, insurance and fees. My heart rate was normal but too high for the machine. Needed beta blockers. No one told me this in advance. Rescheduled. Wrote physician for beta blocker prescription. Visit 2: that failure was my fault. Rescheduled. Visit 3: Arrived at the office to find that the practice had moved (no one told me previously) but I found the new location and arrived on time. They informed me that the machine "had just g... read more
The office is just impossible to contact. I have called 6 times and on each occasion the system tells me that I am being transferred to an attendant and on each occasion I am then disconnected. Bizarre.
Had a DEXA scan done at the Park Potomac location in June and still have not received results despite contacting several times. And of course, they billed and got paid by my insurance company. I have used them for years for mammograms, but after this last visit, I will make a switch for my screenings.
