I will not use them. It took 2 weeks to get the results of my mammogram when it takes only a max of 2 days somewhere else. I scheduled my appointment with my doctor one week after the mammogram thinking it will take few days to produce the report. They refused to expedite the results and I had to reschedule my doctor's appointment.
I have been coming to Washington Radiology for over 20 years. I needed a dexa scan and scheduled it in February 2024 for July 2024. They canceled that appointment the day before scheduled. They re-scheduled for August and cancelled again today 1 day prior to appointment. My upcoming knee replacement requires this test and I may have to postpone due to this issue. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE on the part of Washington Radiology in Sterling, VA 20164
Staff is so unprofessional and rude on the phone. They act like they are doing you a FAVOR by making an appointment. I had 3 separate phone calls and every single time the staff member on the other side was curt, indifferent and unfriendly. Note to WR, you may be making appointments for people who have cancer. Please have some empathy and just be nice. It isn't actually that hard. Next year I will be going back to Fairfax Radiology where I was treated like a human being.
They no longer process insurance. They collected payment without submitting a claim to my insurance and when I called to ask what happened, they told me they had no billing department. This is unacceptable. I should have been told upon making the appointment that they weren't able to accept insurance. My insurance card was scanned and they told me they were in my network. This is completely corrupt business practices.
Billing! Having major issues and have been a patient for 28 years. Have called, emailed my insurance card, spoken to individuals and nothing seems to get through to them.
Until this year I would have given a positive review. I have been to the Potomac site many times. In March 2024 I was in terrible pain and had an order for an MRI of the lumbar spine. I called and the person who answered the centralized appointment center told me to leave my name and number and I'd get a call as soon as possible. I wholeheartedly believe that this location should be shut down. I had my first mammogram 8 months ago and I am still traumatized by the experience. I have never been in the presence of such unprofessional, uncaring, and callous health professionals. They did not have my specific order for a diagnostic mammogram and I had to call my OBGYN repeatedly and leave messages in order for me to complete the mammogram as they said a form was not enough. This one-star review is not based on the quality of medical treatment. Washington Radiology was so incompetent and nonresponsive that I was never able to get treatment here at all. This rating reflects Washington Radiology's complete indifference to providing patient service -- particularly Dr. Sandra Allison. My experience with Washington Radiology is that they are *very* slow to provide test results. I have had several tests done there, mostly routine MRI, and they are often late. They say that results will be available in "two to three" business days. This time we are on business day 7, real time 11 days. My doctor's office has called twice and they have been unsuccessful.
