I previously left a poor review based on my initial visit. However, I recently returned and, while it was the same staff, my visit was significantly improved. They were nice, friendly, and responsive. I think I caught them on a bad day last go around, and wild return based on this experience.

I'm reviewing because I know that most people don't think to review places like this unless they have bad experiences, but I would definitely recommend Washington Radiology to anyone who needs imaging. I had a CT, MRI, and my first ever mammogram done here, and each experience was smooth, with excellent, friendly lab techs. When one of the tests showed something potentially alarming, I got to talk to a doctor there that day, who was able to discern that it wasn't anything to worry about after all. I had an MRI performed at the 4121 K St NW facility. Everyone there was professional, friendly and very helpful. I am a physician, and I normally don't make a great patient, But, every member of staff that I encountered made my experience as a patient as easy and comfortable as it could be. I especially want to commend and thank Keda in the front office for making my arrangments so pleasant and easy. I had no problem scheduling an appointment over the phone. The test that I needed to have done was only available at this location from 7:45-8:45, which is inconvenient for my work schedule and location but what can you do. The receptionist at the front desk had my paperwork ready to go and was friendly enough. I did have to wait about 30 minutes past my appointment time but that's not too bad. The technicians and doctor explained everything well and got started right away. If I needed to I would feel comfortable going back.

I am updating this from 1 to 4 stars because they have fixed their phone and web site problems. I've had to go back for two appointments and was able to schedule them very efficiently. I also talked to one of their staff on the phone eventually about the delay in getting an MRI for the sudden sensory neural hearing loss and they agreed that I should have been scheduled within a couple days for that and that was a mistake. I'm surprised by the poor reviews. I've now had three procedures done at two different WRA locations (Mamm, sonogram and MRI). The staff was lovely--efficient and attentive, making sure you were comfortable during every stage of the exams. They were also great about wrestling with my insurance company. And when I called to get a copy of my scan on a disk, I was expecting to be told there would be a long wait and a charge. No charge and I could pick it up whenever I wanted to.
Teresa, the radiology tech assigned to me, was incredible! I let her know that this was my first mammogram and she went right into soothing mode. In addition, I also told her that I'm in the very early stages of Nursing School, so she walked me through my 3-D imaging after we were done (FYI, mammograms are not bad at all!), and let me see just how cool the technology (and my body) is! I'm sure everyone at Washington Radiology is great, but I will always sing the praises of Teresa!
I visited this establishment on a "walk-in" basis during the lunch hour, so I was treated to a 20-30 minute wait while there were only two other people in the lobby. The tech was abrupt and humorless and lacked some basic human communication skills, so I'll just refer to her as the robot. The robot was kind enough to point in one direction while calling out directions to me while facing another direction and headed in the opposite direction. All of which turned me completely around.
