YOU MAY DIE IF YOU CHOOSE THESE PEOPLE. Show up with an order? Oh, for some reason you can't get your mammogram that day because they don't have enough technicians (cheapskates! put more on the schedule) or don't have enough machines (either way, why aren't you calling your appointments of the day to prevent them from coming in? I have been trying to schedule a bone density scan for over 7 months and they have cancelled two appointments and pushed them back. My order expired and I had do to get a new one. They apparently don't have enough technicians. It is a simple procedure so if you are having problems hiring then pay more for the position. My doctor has concerns about osteoporosis and it will be almost a year since she ordered the scan by the time I actually get it. A year I might should have been on medication. It's getting to be like a Seinfeld episode with Washington Radiology. You can make an appointment but there's no guarantee that it won't be cancelled at very short notice. At this point, I've been trying to schedule my annual bone density scan since last July. At first, they weren't making any appointments due to lack of staff to perform the scans. I have been going to WR for years. In the last two years - something has changed and the patient service has deteriorated. Not with the techs. But the scheduling and checking-in. One used to be able to call a central scheduling office and they could schedule you at any location based on what you needed and availability. Now you have to call each location separately. Do NOT go here! I went in for an MRI in the very beginning of September and they didn't submit my claim to my insurance until NOVEMBER only after I called them every single week! I overpaid by a few hundred dollars since they made me pay before submitting a claim to my insurance (my insurance ended up covering most of the cost) but Washington Radiology refused to refund me it for WEEKS. Even in January (3 months after my appointment) I'm still waiting for my refund.

Their billing service provider is atrocious. The office significantly overestimated what my cost would be after insurance and overcharged me. I have been calling their billing office for more than three months to get them to refund me for the overpayment to no avail. Each time I've called they tell me it will take months more to process and mail a check. At this point I've filed a dispute with my credit card company instead. The front desk staff are not helpful. Their website state all's walks in are available. I walked in and was told they aren't doing walk ins at that hour but would not tell me when hours were available. We're told to call but no one answers. I went to Med Star. They are so much nicer and professional.

Absolutely horrible. I went for a scan ordered by my cardiologist. The scan was almost a month ago and "due to staffing issues" the scan has STILL not even been read. The only reason I give one star is because the office staff was nice. This scan was not covered by insurance so I paid out of pocket. Wondering if I can get my money back but I cannot get a person on the phone.

I had shoulder surgery back in late-July 2024. The healing process has not gone as expected. My surgeon referred me to a specific WRA Doctor to get an ultrasound done to see what the issue(s) are with my shoulder. I called WRA at 3:30pm on Thursday, 5 September to get an appointment with this specific Doctor. It urns out, this Doctor at WRA has their own scheduler so WRA staff tried to get a hold of the scheduler to no avail. They sent the scheduler an email requesting an appointment for me that day.
