Be careful before you sign up for 8x8, you could end up paying for 2 months of service you never receive. We decided to look for a less expensive option for our company's VoIP services. We canceled our service on Nov. 16 and at that time I was informed that they require a 30 day notice. Good tech bad policies. After using 8x8 happily for close to 5 years and spending close to $1k per month I needed to downsize my office. Despite being a loyal customer they charged me a huge early cancellation fee for reducing extensions. I didn't even cancel service. Currently looking to move to one of many other VOIP providers.

I would highly recommend staying away from 8x8 for VOIP. I had them for three years paying $430 per month for 10 phones. Then one month the bill goes to $785. They won’t give me a credit but tell me on the phone that it will go back down the next month. It doesn’t so I call again. Same thing. No credits but it will go down next month. It didn’t. I cancel. We've been a customer for 4 years now and the support has always been abysmal. They're slow to respond, if you even get a response. When they do respond, they propose solutions that have already been tried and failed. Such an infuriating experience.

The WORST experience ever. If we could give a negative 5 stars, we would. The first thing we asked our salesperson was whether or not we would be able to keep our existing phone numbers. This was extremely important to us, being a forty-year-old company. We were told that this would not be a problem at all. After registering complaints with 8x8 about the lack of customer support, I was advised by them that if I did not like the service I should take my business elsewhere. I heeded the advice and have contracted with a new telecom company to service my telecommunication needs. I contacted this company on November 15th to request my phone numbers be ported over to the new service provider.
