I had three phones with 8x8 and wanted to move them to another carrier. The other carrier said it would be easy and they would handle it. Well it was not easy and in fact it was the most horrendous experience. I had to speak with ten or more agents in customer service and billing at 8x8 until my numbers were moved and my account was closed, or at least it should have been. The calls are very staticky and difficult to hear. When I listen back to my voice messages I leave clients they sound horrible.
How does 8x8 identify duplicates? It seems that it should only be on an EXACT phone match versus a 'fuzzy' match. When duplicates are found when a call is being made, the duplicate pop-up blocks the ability to type comments until a record is chosen, which is unfortunate. Also, if you're clicking a phone number from a lead record page, it would make sense that the app knows who is being called. We can answer our phones from anywhere any device!
When sending 'cold call' emails in the past we could not tell if the recipients ever took the time to read them. Now with tracking we can tell who opened their emails and even if they've opened them multiple times (which makes me think there is hope in making a sales connection there). Also really appreciate being able to schedule an email for delivery. If I get someone's out of office message I'll then schedule the email to arrive the 2nd day they're back in the office (don't want to bombard them their first day back!).
This is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with in business. We bought their salesman and they never got our phones working after three month. They really didn't care it was really unbelievable. I'm a pretty laid back guy and tolerate a lot. Do yourself a favor do not be a sucker and use this company.
8x8 allows me to forward my calls to my cell phone, this has unchained me from my desk!
