I ported my numbers away from 8x8 but they continued to bill my credit card for over a year and a half. Other companies like Verizon and Vonage close an account and discontinue billing once numbers are ported. This is a disreputable practice.

This company is a joke as the tech support people are clueless in that they tell you they have to restart your system because of errors. This leads me to believe many flaws exist in their system. Furthermore the way their system is designed, you will end up calling them endlessly to get issued resolved because default settings exist that you don't know about so your phone system does not operate properly. I am not able to direct calls to a USB headset. All calls go to the desk phone. The widget does not appear to have the option to use the Softphone without the desk phone in the same way that the stand alone 8x8 Virtual Office application does.

billing office opens at 10am NY time. I am having a difficult time deleting payment card on file. I used a card once and now it cant be deleted from my billing profile. Endless loop in phone tree. Rude customer service. When making a call, the recipient is connected before the caller. So the caller waits while the recipient has already said hello and is waiting for the caller to speak. If i could give a 0 star review i would. The service was a nightmare to set up in the beginning. The techs were horrible but i was locked into a contract. After months we finally got bad service and sound quality. I switched to Vonage after 1 year as no one from 8x8 told me the price would double. I saved over 3000 a year and have a lot better sound quality. The software has been locking up and not logging calls. I use Chrome as a browser and it just seems to stop whenever it wants to.
